Crazy good prices. I'm glad i went mayhem with this one.
The pledges on the previous Kickstarters used to skyrocket on the last day, easily surpassing the first few days. I really don't think it'll be as crazy this time, as this KS was probably so popular, that most people just went all in on day one. If we actually will see the same amount of pledges on the last day, that's going to be insane. 3-4 extra stretch goals right there. MGR better reveal a series of new ones ahead of time when we get to the final sprint. |

I'm all about the bad guys to fight. How about an NVA officer, NVA regular in tan, or Russian advisor, or something in those final stretch goals. I'd be down for that.

What about an ARVN soldier. Make him bald so we get a bald headed asian head for customs. I want to make a Hard Master custom.

I'm a little surprised that there has been no mention of the ARVN on this kickstarter.
The Army of the Republic of Vietnam were the ground forces of the South Vietnamese military, and would fit nicely into this collection. I suppose that the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) could be added, but their uniforms would look so much like those already offered and unlocked thus far, that it might be easier for customers to build their own ANZAC soldiers.

At this point I’d still really like to see some Special Forces advisors with the duck hunter camo and bush hats, some MACV SOG types with black uniforms. As far as Vietnamese forces, it’s just a matter of adding some weapons and accessories. We need some NVA officer hats and an RPD machine gun at a minimum. They could also ad a chairman Mao hat and a different colored scarf to make Pathet Lao forces as well.

The problem for me with any future stretch goals is that, to me, in order to justify the gap in price point between stretch goals, we need more than just color/paint variations of the unlocked sculpts. I think MJ recognizes this and might explain the Drill Instructor-Tunnel Rat 2pk. But at the same time, I understand the he doesn't want to complicate the KS with too many new sculpts which could bankrupt the whole project.

I mean there are several figures MJ could make using the unlocked parts with existing accessories but with new paint schemes and/or new accessories, such as: 1. Giraffe camo with Bush hat (already available in the store) 2. Ranger in a different (ERDL) camo with black beret 3. Marine in different camo with 8-pt cover 4. Armored Division with new tanker helmet, and vest with shoulder holster, could even throw in a .50 cal (from WW2 KS) 5. MP & K9 (using an existing German Shepherd mold) 6. Heck they could really appeal to the GIJoe fanboys and offer some figure with an M16 w/ a Starlight Scope. It'll definitely be interesting to see what else MJ has up his sleeve. Jason |
