I don't know if this has been brought up but I just pre-ordered this amazing book! I had a chance to see it at JOECON and speak to Dan and it is amazing!
From his site: "3.75 Inch Joe G.I. Joe® is one of the most recognizable and well known action figure lines in history, yet there is no full story showing the creation process of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero™ brand that ran from 1982-1994. Well that’s about to change with the release of "3.75 Inch Joe". Although there have been many books written about G.I. Joe®, what makes "3.75 Inch Joe" unique is the fact that the information shared within the book comes from exclusive interviews with former employees who worked on the G.I. Joe® Brand. Some of the things to expect include: • The inspiration and influences behind the different figures and vehicles • Alternate names for figures and vehicles • Insider stories regarding the changes that occurred during the design process • Conceptual designs and photographs that will show the progression and different stages of creating a figure or vehicle • And much more… A portion of the profits will be donated to Hasbro Children's Hospital and Phoenix Children's Hospital. Pre-Order Now" 334inchjoesample |

It's a shame, doesn't look like he is going to meet his goal. I would love help out but the price is too steep for me.

Agree completely on both parts. I'd love to get this but $85 is a bit out of my range.

$85 for this amazing book too steep? Really? How much have you spent on your most treasured collectible?
When people say there's not enough out there for "serious" Joe fans, but tell me that $85 is too much to spend on a book FULL of amazing character design and great info...I wonder. Some of the stuff in this book, you'll NEVER be able to see anywhere else! |
