IF they know something we don't, I'm not sure I want to know what they may or may not know. Y'know?
I'm not looking forward to the probability of a six-inch Joe line. I have a GI Joe collection. Enhance that, Hasbro. Don't push old designs on me again in a new scale. BUT, this is about the Kickstarter. I'm not sure the timing is the best. We haven't even received our last Kickstarter rewards yet, and now asked to back another, based on mass-market speculation? Interesting choice, to say the least. |

I have one Marvel Legends figure -- the new Spider-man that just came out and the only thing he can hold is a slice of pizza. Ooh, 1:18 scale pizza w/ box! Add it to the list, John.

The market's not as robust as the 1:18 scale, but there definitely IS a market I'd say. Lot of Marvel characters could do with some more firepower.
Plus if the rumors of a 6" Joe line pan out...not to mention the Cryptid Toys Kickstarter...could work out nicely for all involved. Agreed. We have just received so many requests for 1:12 scale gear, we thought now is a good time to see if the ACTUAL demand is there to justify the line. Kickstarter allows us to gauge interest and minimize expense. The 1:12 Kickstarter was scheduled to launch in January and our new MTF figures to launch in March. But the delay with the first series MTF figures pushed everything back. So rather than waiting any longer, we launched the 1:12 project (since there was very little overlap with our target customers and was NOT related to any 1:18 items). Again, as explained in the original post, no new 1:18 projects will launch until the replacement MTF figures have shipped (may not even announce the new MTF figure designs or what the new themes are until the launch). Also, we have no "inside" info about any new 6 inch line...just trying to meet the needs of all our current supporters! MJ

Thanks for the clarification.
And BTW, my skepticism is not at all a wish that you won't have success. Just thinking about the whole picture. I'm still very much looking forward to the MTF figs I ordered, and have appreciated the updates and clear communication thus far. |

I hope there's still going to be a buffer between the MTF launch and the next MTF Kickstarter. I estimate I'm going to be dropping a few hundred bucks on the launch and could use some time to recharge funds before the next KS arrives.

Hey, If by chance there is a fortunate coincidence that benefits us...all the better! After the surprise hurdles we've encountered & overcome over the last few months, some surprise good news would be most welcome! ;-) MJ

Looking at your stretch goal AKs with the wood stocks, I certainly hope there will be 6" Cobra Troopers to go with them one day.

What Mr. Hebime said!. I could live without the bow or the MGL since I have Hasbro versions, but the others on that list would be awesome in 1:18. Also, what would be really awesome is another revolver, S&W style, with either a 6 in or 8 in barrel (to scale obviously, not a 6 inch long toy gun). MGR rocks, and while I didn't back the kickstarter, I plan on ordering from the store once all is available and have ordered several times from their weapons line up. |
