I saw those prices and passed. I just can't afford to spend that much on single figures, but these things are worth what people can and will pay. And notice they're gone. They probably could have gone higher on some of those and they would still be gone.

Actually, Cover Girl was only $40.
I don't understand why they gave some items a high price, and others not so much. Why was Lady Jaye $100 but Cover Girl was $40? Isn't CG like $100 on eBay and LJ about $125? On the other side of the coin, I don't understand why everyone thinks they have to sell for what they originally listed for. Why is the Club obligated to do that? This is leftover stock from their warehouse... they can do with it what they please. People feel so entitled and are always making up rules for no reason... the Club put most of the rare ones up for half or less of eBay cost. It's clear they only had a few of each. Why should they have done differently? Why do people feel like they're owed this stuff? two years later for the same price? I don't get it. Now that I've gotten back into the hobby a bit more I understand a bit more, and honestly, if some of these things the Club has sold through the Archive sale or any of these other 'left over stock' sales gets more money put into tooling for Con sets and Club shit, I'm going to be damn okay with it and more likely to buy "eBay prices" older/rare shit from the Club. It would be nice to know that up front though and not go off of assumption.. That's why I passed on the 4-5 items I had in my cart earlier today. I can surprisingly get a few of the items I had carted cheaper on eBay, right now and more than likely in the near future. |

If the items sell at those prices, then they're not too high. If they don't sell, the prices will be reduced until they do. I wouldn't exactly call them scalper prices either. Big Boa for $50 is about half the going rate on the secondary market.

Hmm this is a Dutch auction type of sale so why is everyone buying everything right away?
