if the first 6" joe came out looking like that, i don't think it'd last very long or do very well at all. at a bigger scale one would expect more detail, not less.

Yeah I think we can all agree Hasbro would put out a much nicer official product.

I will be upset if we just get the same 25th figures but 6".
If Hasbro rolls out 6" figures it will be like the guy that agrees to go to marriage counseling even though he's already decided to get a divorce. The current figures are great - just invest some funding in a kid-focused media and your brand will continue to churn out a nice return. |

For a 6" figure, I'd expect a hell of a lot more detail than that figure has. It just looks like the dvd pack Snake Eyes. And if it's not posed next to another 6" figure, you wouldn't even know how big it was. The POC Snake Eyes would make for a better example. A 6" line will need to go above and beyond what we're getting with the 4" line. Lots of preproduction stuff gets shown and people fawn all over it. But once it's on the pegs it's a different story. Remember how bad everyone wanted that Data-Viper when it was just a concept case figure? As soon as it was released it got picked apart.

I've never collected 6" until the SW Black Series, and it's probably my favorite line right now. Bring on the Joes, and I'd like classic looks for the characters. I can't afford Sideshow, but I will buy Black Series for $20 each.

And I'm surprised by all the haters. The 6" figures would look awesome. It's just a little higher-end line to augment the Joe toy line as a whole. It's Hasbro paying attention to GI Joe. It's aimed at adult collectors. I don't see how this could be viewed as an overall negative or detrimental to the brand.

I think that hasbro would make a big mistake by adding a new scale to the line. I would rather make the line stronger by spending money on a new animated movie, something short like Resolute that would bring new designs and may be even new characters. I as a collector I look for 3 things: new designs (no more repaints) articulation!!! do not bring out new figures like star wars with less articulation than what we had back in the 80's ... if you gonna bring something out do it well or not do it at all!, and finally I would put more attention to detail!. I am not sure 6" figures would be the way to go....
