Allspark Pictures would oversea the development and financing of the films, and another party (Paramount or Universal) would oversee the distribution of the film. Those properties already licensed out (like Ouji or Transformers or GI Joe) would remain with the existing licensees unless Hasbro pursues an alteration to the agreement (as Marvel did with Universal to regain Hulk). Which I DO see as a possibility with GI Joe if 3 doesn't do significant better than Retaliation.

I'm glad Transformers will air on Cartoon Network. I feel like if Renegades was on CN then it would still be on today. I hope the next Joe toon airs on CN rather than the Hub or whatever it's called. That chanel killed the show IMHO.

Assuming CN would have even taken it (which is unlikely given prior issues Hasbro has had getting a Joe cartoon up and going), it probably would have been dumped in the 5 am death slot, or we wouldn't have seen half a dozen episodes until it hit Netflix. IF CN was willing to dump a BATMAN cartoon without reason after only a couple months on air, GI Joe wouldn't have stood a chance. As is, I'm not overly optimistic about RiD's chances unless that new CEO they have is going to institute some major changes.

Actually, have you SEEN what CN has been doing with its actions shows over the past few years?

As is, I'm not overly optimistic about RiD's chances unless that new CEO they have is going to institute some major changes. I used to watch Animated, which aired on CN before Hasbro ditched it in favor of Prime on the Hub. Robots in Disguise looks to be a lot like Animated in style and that was a pretty good show. Clone Wars had a pretty good run on CN before Disney bought Star Wars and decided to ditch CN in favor of the DisneyXD show Rebels, which IMHO is a much better show than CW was. My son likes Ben 10, which has been on CN for like forever. Is that show even still on? IDK, but I can tell you this: I want to watch Mike Tyson Mysteries. When does that show start, and are mysteries even real? Either way, I'm excited for Robots in Disguise on the Cartoon Network. I think it was a good move on Hasbro's part. I admit I'm no expert, but I feel strongly that these Hasbro toons will be better served on CN than the Hub. Only time will tell of of course, but my Magic Eightball says the signs point to yes!!! |

Just saw on the news this morning that Dish is apparently no longer carrying CN. Hopefully this is a short term, contract-negotiation tactic. So Hasbro moves some of their programming to CN and now some of us will no longer get CN. *smh*
