I get that. And I totally want to see FMF embrace the pulp nature of the 80s line and the G.I. Combat, Weird War Tales, even the Adventure Team stuff. But It's not exactly mainstream. Might be better business to build up the fan base for a couple waves with homages that people have been wanting for years (whether they knew or not) to supplement the Classics Kickstarter, and then start to filter in the more established canon characters after that succeeds. Seems like a pretty smart business move. I'd like to see a.G.I. Robot and.some public domain stuff come of this in the not too far away future too.

I posted this on the fb group too but thought I might have more luck here. I've snapped 2 sets of goggles in Midnight's head. One was MTF and one was EFR. I heated them up to fit then they snapped in the same place later in. Anyone have any recommendations on something sturdier or some advice on what I'm doing wrong that's making them break?

There was an official Eagle Force Returns page.
https://www.facebook.com/eagleforcereturns They stopped posting there in 2018. Everything is posted under Fresh Monkey Fiction now. https://www.facebook.com/FreshMonkeyFiction

I always thought from what I've read and seemed implied is these "waves" that are through BBTS use existing tooling and aren't really planned to have new tooling. Repainting, reuse, etc, to make new figures and that the Kickstaters are when new tooling/molds might be able to be made.
So expect to see the level of waves we've seen, which are fine, you like some, you don't like others. I'll get at least one of each, and then sometimes depending on the army builder more. |

From KS Update 106 4/25/21:
“So what about Eagle Force Wave 5 and beyond? Now that the Kickstarter rewards have been shipped lets talk Eagle Force Wave 5 (Waves 1-4 were offered as part of the Kickstarter) and beyond. As we have mentioned we’ll be launching a Kickstarter for Eagle Force Classics this summer, this is a HUGE project almost as big as the Eagle Force Returns Kickstarter. We’ll be revealing images of the figures as Joe Fest in June with a Kickstarter following soon after. Each figure is based on a classics character heavily inspired by their original classic gold outfit designs. General Mamba and R.I.O.T. will be represented as well. We have over 25+ figures planned including stretch goals. If we fund with ALL our stretch goals this project till take will take 18-24 months to produce and deliver, even with the new factory. But what about Eagle Force Returns and it’s sub-lines, like Monster Force, Heroes vs Villains and Ninja Force? Our plan is to continue the Eagle Force Returns line by offering a pre-order for 5 new figures each quarter. These will use existing parts with a few new pieces here and there and should take a much shorter time to produce. We’ll offer pre-orders for the figures in a 6 week window. Once that window is closed we’ll move into production which should take 5-7 months. We’ll be making these figures to order, with very limited stock available at a later date. Out of the 5 figures offered, 4 will be able to be purchased individually but the 5th figure will only be available if you buy the set during the pre-order. The 5th figure will not be an army builder, but will be exclusive to the set. Think of it like a build-a-figure that is offered by Hasbro or McFarlane.” So the plan was / is to use existing parts plus a few new tooled parts here and there (the only new part shown in W5-6 was a new vest - the other ‘new parts’ are from the Space Force KS) to continue EFR, MF, NF and Heroes vs Villains. This lineup technically meets that purpose in that the new characters are connected to the EFR universe they’re just not the ones - speaking only for myself - that I was already aware of and excited about. Perhaps they’re saving those popular designs for a future KS. I ordered a set this time. Hopefully lineups will steer back toward the earlier designs. If not, I can’t see myself supporting waves I don’t have an interest in. Last edited by Dod Ear; 06-18-2021 at 06:28 PM.. |

My one question is...Are they still going to keep painting flesh parts?
Arms, hands, heads. Can/will they cast those parts in flesh color instead of painting them? That has always been my gripe with a lot of figures. All that hard work designing head sculpts to lose details due to paint.

I feel the opposite about painted flesh IF done right with the correct tone. Highly dislike the peach molded skin and you lose a ton of detail. Now the regular armor and clothes, and weapons absolutely cast those in correct colors with minor paint like a good varnish not 3 layers of paint.
