Yes yes exactly. Tell me where to send my money. Ultimately I would love to see Toys on the shelves and video games and cartoons produced to match up with a comic book showcasing all the hard work you guys put into the characters and the universe.

Going back and reading from 2014 forward to now, and saw this old post. So I'm curious, are you working with Erik Arana still on EF? |

Erik did an awesome job helping us design figures from Wave 1 and I think they turned out great, but Boss Fight has other amazing projects they are working on at the moment.

I guess I probably figured that but thanks for the update, and confirmation. Looking onward to Quarter 2 2019, and the next Kickstarter after figures deliver.

I understand that this second wave is composed of new characters using reused parts and further universe building, but no more classic Eagle Force characters, either '81 or '19 versions.
I'm sorry, but this is where I jump ship. Back when Eagle Force Returns was first announced, I was ready to sign up expecting to see the old Eagle Force characters from the 1981 Mego line done in the modern G.I. Joe style. I backed the first wave even if the only retro gold costumed characters included were Captain Eagle and The Cat, who was a KS exclusive. I understood having the older versions in black costumes and I was okay with that. But I wanted Stryker, not his son. The unproduced Santini would be a legacy character. He never had a figure, so I was cool with that as well. I've backed wave one, the Cat pulp novellas, the trading card sets, the dice game, and finally, the guidebook comic. But I'm also seeing that this isn't what I planned to invest my money in. We're now getting guys with names like Crosshairs and Hollowpoint which are Joe names. Guys who look the same like Stat and Search & Rescue instead of a classic character such as Big Bro. More generic ninja characters instead of Savitar, be it the vintage version or the older gentleman with the pet Koala. This has been a tough year for my family with four 911 calls and three surgeries since February. I've stopped doing eBay searches and can't keep supporting expensive Kickstarters, whether things run smoothly down the line or not. I'm sorry that there have been so many problems, but looking back I never would have gone onboard with this if I'd known that things would deviate so much from Paul's old Eagle Force designs and the original concept. This looks more like Marauder territory now, or even a revival of Remco's American Defense and similar 3rd tier material. The concepts introduced in media such as the guidebook and trading cards look promising enough to replace G.I. Joe while Hasbro sits on it, but I don't see all of that happening within the next few years, so I am out. All the best to you. I truly do hope that you find a new factory so that you may produce all these ambitious new characters and subgroups someday. |

Sorry you're not happy with the direction we are headed. You are also assuming that what was shown was the full wave 2, it was not. General Brown will be offered in his gold outfit, as well as a few other additional characters.
That said, the direction we are going will have new characters sprinkled in with the original characters. we've been very up front with this plan from day one. In our storyline the original characters are in their 70s, so at a minimum we'd need to do new head sculpts for the original team, but for wave 2 we are using existing tooling. You'll see OG Eagle Force characters like Harley, Gen Mamba, Savitar & Big Bro in future waves for sure, there is a reason many of those characters are featured in the handbook. As far as names, yes some of our characters will have the same names as existing Joe characters, but so did the original line...remember Wild Bill. We're only planning doing this when it makes sense for the character. Sorry to loose you as a fan...thanks for supporting this project along the way. Quote:
