So here is the scale images. As you can see they are shorter...but still 1/18th scale. I do have the opportunity to fix this and adjust a few other aspects of the body, but it will delay the projects 3-4 months. If we move forward as planned we have an excellent chance of hitting the March delivery. What do you all think? I think I'll ask the backers and see what they think.

Fresh Monkey - What other aspects of the body would you "fix"?
To me, the scale seems fine, by and large. I'm just curious what we're not seeing? 3-4 months, eh? To me, not for the height, but if there is a structural or functional issue, I'd rather wait than, say, have 25th Duke arms on any of the figures. |

I wouldn't be opposed to waiting a couple more months for a slight size bump, but I may be in the minority on that. Most importantly, I don't consider it a deal-breaker as they are now. Also, MTF and HACKS are a little closer to the tall end of the scale (a hair over 4''), so there's that to consider too. Maybe you can get some comparison pics against a couple of Joes as well, and/or Star Wars figures...? Just to better illustrate where on the spectrum these lie.

I would be fine waiting 3-4 months for them to be slightly taller, but if you decide to release them at the size they are now, I'd probably be fine too. I like height consistency in the modern figure days, since it is hard to mix old Joes with new ones with such large height disparities...

I like the slight size difference also. Makes it more realistic I think.

I just read the email. While the size difference doesn't bother me, if there are small issues with the joints that would benefit from delaying things a few months, I'd have no objections. Especially if that's the preference of the design team to get the figures just right.

Seconded. Although I understand the desire to get these out sooner rather than later, and think they would be well-received enough as-is, I wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer if it means the difference between "good enough" and "perfect". What does another 3 months matter when there's years' worth of product roadmap that could benefit? That's my takeaway.
While I was debating between keeping my EF figures separate vs. integration into Joe/Cobra ranks, I was definitely planning on customizing some of them as non-EF characters. Could they work as is? Probably. But a 3-4 month delay to achieve perfect height/joints vs. soon and good enough? Bill, you did ask... Sign me up for the delay.

It was mentioned Zica may reconsider AP if they go with a delay. Wonder how that will work?I’m all for what is best for the future of the line so either way is fine with me.
