Now to get a director attached. Joe Johnston, Martin Campbell, Roger Spottiswoode...I think John Woo would be perfect for G.I. Joe's style, but I'm a huge fan and I'm biased. And he sticks to China these days.
Whoever handles the new movie, can they please give Flint an actual personality this time. Flint needs charm, smarm and charisma. D.J. Cotrona had none of that.

This^^^! Have Larry Hama write the script,(why they haven't done this yet is beyond me) and have John Woo direct the film. Sounds like a recipe for the Joe movie we all want to see, most of us anyway.

Imma pass on this debacle of a "roadblock" movie and use my hard earn money on the toys!!! Hopefully they will be able to squeeze in the remaining concept vault figures and other remaining cobra troop builders... No "actor head based" figures for me though

One would think that 370mil would be reason enough to celebrate the 50th anniversary.

There is nothing about that number, which isn't a huge box office tally for this type of property compared to similar films, that reflects an interest in the brand and its heritage. Especially when 2/3 of that amount came from overseas and was likely the result in those market's interest in this type of action movie, not the brand or its toyline. |

I'm going to give him a chance, I'll wait for the movie trailer before I pass judgement. But more importantly, we're getting new toys!

^ This. Anyone interested in backstory should just read the damn filecard.
"Roadblock's dream was to be a goutmet chef. He was working as a bouncer to earn money to attend the Escoffier School in France when an army recruiter convinced him that the army could train him to be a chef. Roadblock joined but found army menus and preparation techniques too appalling. Transferred to the infantry." Sounds like an exciting 2.5 hours! Can't wait
