They could pull a Marvel Movie Universe move and do different sub teams as separate movies. A ninja filled ninja force flick, a core Joe flick focusing on straight military, a covert ops night force movie. So many studios are building large franchises, so this could be a way to follow the trend.
Of course, no one at Hasbro or Paramount have enough faith in the brand to try anything like this. Then the Joe movies could've launched and eventually built to a full crossover movie where the Joes get called in to team with the Autobots against the Decepticons and Cobra. Would've been incredible. Of course, this was all before we knew what Michael Bay was going to do to the TF franchise.

No director, no script, unknown cast, and the current movie poster is just an arashikage symbol.......I am not optimistic about this production.

This is the LAZIEST poster they could have released. Even as a teaser poster, this does nothing for me personally. And I LOVE the Arashikage storyline from the comics. The movies haven't really handled it well at all. There were some nods to it, sure. But it can't compare to the magic Hama wrote throughout the first 50 - 60 issues of the original Marvel run.
What could possibly be left to explore in THREE?

You guys know it takes awhile to make a film right. the fact that the poster is a stand in means they just started pre-production which could take until this this time next year. I'm sure movie hype will start to build again and we'll see the joe line back on it's legs again.

When the first Transformers movie came out, I actually said that the generic soldiers should've been some of the actors playing Joes in the first movie - almost like a cameo for the team.

Would've been incredible. Of course, this was all before we knew what Michael Bay was going to do to the TF franchise. Heh. Just saw this in today's Photoplasty on Cracked: "16 Tiny Changes That Would Totally Fix Transformers Movies"
