But in all honesty??? 86 the hat........I mean, C'MON!! She's so much more recognizable WITHOUT it!! |

Lady Jaye and Stalker will round out a PERFECT Joe set! But no Dr Mindbender for your Serpentor? That sucks. WTF's up with Satan? Anybody that thinks a lame red-repaint of the Storm Shadow is "awesome", IS AN IDIOT! That figure takes the place of one that would really be cool, like Torch, Ripper, or Zarana. Yeah now that I think about it, that list has to be wrong. It does'nt make sense. Not that what Hasbro has been doing with the line the past few years does make sense. Please, PLEASE, I hope they don't mess up our 25th anniversary too!
I'm thankful for the Lady Jaye and Stalker though. |

I'm thankful for the Lady Jaye and Stalker though. The list is legit. If it wasn't, it wouldn't have been posted. How does the list not make sense? Each of those characters is more recognizable than the Dreadknocks you listed. Your Dreadknoks will probably come soon enough. I don't see how adding the characters from the list to the anniversary line will ruin the anniversary. The anniversary line was originally only going to consist of the 2 battle packs. THATS IT. I'm happy we are getting an additional battle pack and the single pack figures, because early on, we weren't even going to get all that. 3-3/4 is back at retail next year, so your Dreadknoks will probably hit either late this year or sometime next. |

personally i think it is nice that hasbro is giving a slot or to to the less known figures of the series. not to mention that with all the possible figures that have been released over the last 25 years they are not going to be able to please everyone

Okay, knowing that the 3 3/4 line will "supposedly" be back next year does bring me some sense of solace. I say "supposedly" becuase G.I.Joe toys have been cancelled way more times than they should have been. Sorry if my first post started us off on the wrong foot. I'm just saying, I'd like as many "NEW" sculpts as I can get while I'm CERTAIN they should be coming out. Of course I'll buy the Satan figure. But if I needed one that bad I'd simply paint a Storm Shadow myself. I can't sculpt/retool something into a good Zarana.
I'm sorry I called some of my fellow collectors idiots, but don't talk to me like I'm one. There is no way, NO WAY, Satan or Sei Tin or whatever is more recognizable than a Dreadnok! Let's not kid ourselves here. Wait, we should kid ourselves for a moment becuase when we were kids, the G.I.Joe cartoon sold the toys. NOT THE COMIC! I have the complete run of the Marvel series. It was okay for back then. It's really sort of cheesy by today's standards. It's much better than the DDP series though. Most of those are complete CRAP! (I'm probably gonna have to defend my stand on that later.) YES, I'm the guy who thinks a giant, winged, elbow-bladed, tank-throwing, monster-man is cooler than saying the world's most diabolical terrorist is just a disgruntled, car salesman. I like good, MANLY, sci fi/fantasy. Not lame soap operas where a whiney, throw-away character named Billy learns to be a ninja to get back at his daddy. Where was I...? Oh yeah. As collectors, we really need to start letting toy companies know what we want. Yes, a Satan/Red Ninja Viper would be cool in the long run but not for the 20th anniversary. How about General Hawk. Tomax and Xamot. Hopefully those guys rank up there with Satan. If all we were "supposed" to get was one 5-pack, and the toy company decided to throw us lowly consumers a bone with a few more trinkets to spend our meager wages on, maybe we have no say on what we would like more. I did'nt think Hasbro owned us like that. I thought it would be in THEIR best interest to bend to OUR will. Oh yeah, I forgot, everyone but me loves everything Hasbro does and would buy a turd if they said it was the new, updated Iron Grenadier figure. I really don't like to complain, this is just the first time I've vented myself about my hobby on a public forum. Thanks for giving me the chance and reading what I have to say. Besides, if Hasbro actually name's a toy "Satan", I'll eat my hat. |

Besides, if Hasbro actually name's a toy "Satan", I'll eat my hat. Don't get me wrong man, i'm not talking to you like your an idiot. Sure when we were kids the cartoons worked. Many of us grew to like the comic more. Whether or not this is the majority if subject to debate. *I for one thought the comic was written well and overlooked far too much, whereas the cartoon, as good as it was back then, was campy. And I was not one who liked the movie nor cobra la*. Just as we were fans as children, there are children now who are fans too. I wasn't just talking about Sei Tin/Satan being more recognizable than the Dreadknoks. I should have elaborated, a lot of the last 10 are more recognizable then the rest of the dreadknoks. Beachhead, Firefly, Serpentor, they are easier for me to remember than Buzzer, Torch or Monkey wrench. When I think Dreadknok who comes to mind immediately? Zartan. General Hawk, Tomax and Xamot are most haves for the line. I was surprised to see that they weren't but I'm sure they will come later on. I for one do not like Duke as much and thought Hawk would be a better stand in for the battle pack. Hasbro knows full well we want them as well as the original "13". The way I see it, hasbro didn't include everyone in the first few waves because: 1-after they are done, who else is left to sell? 2-to add variety 3-in the end they can't please everyone 4-because after deciding to make more than 2 battle packs, and even then more than 25 figures vs the original 10 planned, they plan to spread out releases. Also most importantly, remember it was Dwight Stall or one of the design team that sculpted 12 figures. When hasbro saw that, they decided to make more than 10 figures, then 25, and now more than 25. Just be patient, not everything will come out all at once. The joe design team are just as big as fans as we are. *Besides how can you have an anniversary w/out Hawk and the twins?* |
