Falcon Fury, it's wave 04 '08, or wave 8, whatever. No reason to think it's exclusive to anyone, and I seriously doubt a retailer would get an entire wave of singles as an exclusive at this point.

Barbeque is one of my favorite Joe's, and he WAS my favorite as a child.
When I was 4 or 5 years old, and Barbeque came out, I took him EVERYWHERE. We went to Myrtle Beach, SC one summer for vacation, and of course Barbeque and a few other joes came with me. I was playing in the sand as happy as could be with my Joe's, and i guess tide came up fairly quick and robbed me of my Barbeque. I kept screaming "BAR BEE QUE, NNOOOOOO MY BAR BEE QUE!!!". I was crying and screaming and crying. My parents figured the only way for me to stop, was to replace him with another Barbeque. We stopped at Ames (or a similar store in Myrtle beach, and they had a WALL of joes... but no barbeque. He was still available at stores, just this one store did not have any.. No other figure could replace my Barbeque, and my parents eventually reached a level of aggravation caused by my 4-5 year old antics, and we left with no figure. I eventually got another Barbeque, but to this day my parents and I still kid about, "NOOOO BAR BEE QUE!!!!!!!!!!". I can't wait to get him for the 25th Anniversary. |

I took my figures to Ocean Isle Beach, NC. I don't think I ever lost any of them there (I played up close to the dunes for that very reason), but it was a real pain getting all that sand out. (Yes, I was very particular as a kid, carefully making sure that all of the sand was removed.)

I was actually in the ocean with Roadblock (probably eight years old and ignorant to the power of the tide) when a nice wave smacked me in the face and yanked him right out of my hand. I cried like a little bitch. Never got another v1 Roadblock, either, and I'm still waiting for my rematch with the Atlantic Ocean.
