It's cool to see another 1/18th scale military based toy line show up. I don't like the transforming vehicles, but like what their doing and may buy some of the figures and that Statue playset.
If they make non-transforming vehicles, I'd be interested. Thanks for the review! This also gives hope that the other toy line Monkey something can make it. |

Cool, thanks for the responses. Looks like a fantastic toy, and the AWE Striker resemblance is gravy.

Hey Gingaio,
1) Yes Sir, all of the wheels are free rolling and rubberized! 2) Oh yes, the joints are amazingly sturdy. There's a very strong "Click" any time you move any of the bits (just like with the stronghold). Right? I'm looking forward to it! Woo Hoo! I have hardly NO new sculpt figures...just to have a good laugh, I was going to use Blowtorch since everyone is miffed about him being in the 50th assortment. |

I believe the MSRP on this particular set is $130 USD. I'll keep you guys posted if that changes. Make sure to check out the Acid Rain blog spot as well, as they're unveiled a new piece called the "Flak Bike FB7". It's so bad ass....think of a Cobra MAGGOT mashed up with a SLAM that transforms in a walker! acid rain |

More like a Kettenkrad with a (looks for lousy Joe equivalent) FLAK or Mountain Howitzer that transforms into a walker.

Fantastic review! This looks like a really fun new high end line to get into. How is the durability?

To give you an idea of durability...I live in Miami, FL. I bring this up to paint the picture of most of the homes here - Old spanish style, with tiles everywhere. My floor is all tile. While attempting to re-position my bootleg light box, I dropped the Speeder on floor. NOT A DENT. The Sol Commander didn't fall out, which I was pleasantly surprised by. I can't recommend this piece enough. It gives me high hopes for their smaller mechs on the horizon. Justin, if you get a chance, check out their blog. It shows upcoming vehicles and designs. There's a smaller mech That Konigstiger noted a resemblance to above...it just looks all sorts of cool. Kind of reminds me (now) of one of the old Cobra Battlefield Robot Platforms. http://acidrainworld.blogspot.hk |

I love the time you are taking to spotlight these things, C.I.A.D.
your excitement is radiating through my monitor. these may be priced out of my comfort zone, so I may have to make friends with someone local who acquires one. I need to see this thing in real life. |
