I've bought wave 1 of the new SW 6" black series and do like them a lot. Full articulation and very detailed. I would by Joes, because I buy all lines, 4", 12" and kre-o. It would be nice if they did do it, just kept it to a few figures and not try and reproduce every figure in the Joeverse. I don't have enough room for them all.
I had a chance to get the SDCC Fett, but went for the MU stuff 1st and he was gone by the time I got through checkout, looks like a great figure. |

Don't get me wrong.. they look cool and i have the Darth Maul.. but what would be the point? We can barely get the 3.75 inch figures we want out of Hasbro as it is? So they make a new line of 6 inch Joes and then we get a 6in snake eyes, storm shadow, Destro, the Rock, and Cobra Commander? at a $20 price point, I don't see these lasting long enough to get a decent team up... Star Wars I get because the smaller figure line is kinda stale at ths point... I mean they made the guy with the ice cream maker from Bespin for Christ sake... somehow I highly doubt they'll make a 6 inch figure of that guy or alot of the obscure characters,,, Hell they haven't even made a 6inch Darth Vader yet... Hopefully the fans will get one before this line dies... like who here really wants a 6 inch Bazooka figure? Or Iceberg? for $20 a pop I'll pass...

I totally want a 6inch line of joes. my lifes "murphys law" When i was all about the joe size for figures, marvel aka toy biz and mcfarlene all went to 6 inch. when i finally gave in, all started going to 3 3/4. I just got darth maul last night and saw the other 3. i hate luke but the figure of him looks fuckin awesome! great stuff! would love to have mercer and desert scorpions in the 6 inch.

I thought the 6 inch SW line was cool till I saw them. They are ok but not worth $20 bucks to me.
I have my hands full with the 4 inch line and given Hasbro's track record if they started a 6 inch line we all know we'd probably never see a 4 inch figure again. And sitting here looking at my wave 3.5 all I can think is more of these figures please and keep the 6 inch line for SW and the NECA stuff. |

I don't think hasbro has "our" best interest or "us" in mind. I have called them sever times since last year concerning the Retaliation line and even the other lines like Iron Man, star wars ect and they are NOT interested in what we want. They give the standard blurbage, "we appreciate your imput but can not accept opinions over the phone for upcoming product.." A "black" line would only go past wave 1~2 in stores and we'd be choked up on Cobra Commanders, dukes, and snake eyes till they closed the line. It would be a GREAT market for collectors B-U-T then again we'd never get it at retail because walmart, target, and TRU would cram the pegs full of waves 1 and 2, Hasbro would make crappy figures for those waves and then waves 3,4 and 5 would NEVER hit the market and only chinease ebayers would have acces to those OR they'd show up on ebay via us sellers at unreasonable prices... The star wars Black line in 6inch figs is a great looking set but at $20.00 per fig and limited in assortment and sellers... its a selective market which would only serve those who have buddies at the stores (who'd hoard the figs) or ebay/internet retailers. Nice idea, but i don't think we'd get a good shake with the black 6 inch series. Bring back the 30th style lineup, and keep the better retaliation style figs coming and Hasbro should make MORE of the figs not choke them out like wave 3.5, and 4.

Hmm, wouldn't be a bad thing, however, I am sure it has been said, it would just be Duke, CC, SE, SS as they same to have a contract for figures every wave.
Like others have said too, lol, we would just bitch and cry for certain figures and they can't keep up with the current demands. Oh, and what about the 12" (or 10"?)figures shelf warming? Psh, may as well call the 6" line G.I. Joe, Hasbro's BLACK sheep. |

would have to be some assurances as to the minimum number of figs/characters we would get... if it dies after 2 or 3 waves of 4. no point

I would pay for a premium line but only in 4 inch scale so that it works with all of my parts, accessories, and vehicles.

No.
A) We've already got 4", 12" and Kreo, do we really need another scale? B) Vehicle size is already ridiculously under scaled at the 4" scale. At the 6" scale, the vehicles will either be more laughable or non-existent. So, why not just make the jump to the 12"? C) Cost. I'm not going to spend 20 bucks a pop for yet another wave of Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander and Duke. No thank you. B) Totally agree, when joe collectors are buying 1:18th scale model kits and off brand vehicles to fill their collection out, there is an obvious issue here that hasbro should have jumped all over by now... C) AMEN!...I'm about sick of seeing the core four in every single wave without fail...Marvel U does the same thing with Iron Man, Spider Man, Wolverine and Captain America...cut the crap hasbro, nobody needs 65 versions of Snake Eyes (having most of them I know this for a fact) |
