Hm. Sgt Stone, huh? Sure. Let's make new characters for the movie when there's a TON of unused classic character types to choose from.

Last I heard is that Fraser is playing SSgt. Rock and Roll, Craig O'Connell, descendant of Rick O'Connell from the "Mummy" movies (also directed by Stephen Sommers).
Since RnR's original file name was McConnel not O'Connel, who knows if it's true. But I could see them changing the name slightly to accomodate this. I doubt Steven Sommers knows any of the Joes' file names other than what is in the script. He added Frasier, and the only thing said about the character is that he's a sergeant that rides a motorcycle and is a descendant of Rick O'Connel. Him being Rock N' Roll has always been assumed. For all we know, the character can be Sgt. Rick "Stone" O'Connel III.

I was hoping this would turn out to be Flint also, I guess it could still be anybody until we see it packaged. My only real question is, and if it's been answered before feel free to bash me.
With Hasbro/Paramount so quick to shut down scoops like the Cobra Commander images last week and even descriptions like what happened right before Toy Fair. It seems to me some of the best scoops, if that's what you want to call it, are coming from this guy. So far we've got first looks at Cobra Commander and Destro's movie's designs from an ebay seller of all places. I would assume that has to piss off Hasbro/Paramount, It kind of ruins their big reveal. How is this allowed to happen or is there nothing they can do about it because it's coming out of China? |

There were a ton of TF Movie figures that weren't in the TF Movie. That's how Hasbro has always rolled on TF even before the movie... No reason they wouldn't do the same. Hell, IMO some of the best movie TFs weren't in the movie at all.
Seriously, who gives a rat's arse what his name is? It's a new mold and looks better than a lot of the 25th line, honestly. Be happy it's not a repaint. And I'm so glad they didn't use those dried out chicken leg flint arms (hate those things). |

I like this figure, and I'm glad his suit doesn't have nipples.

Why do people have to make the connection between possible new characters and old?
All we know is that Fraser's character is the grandson of Rick O' Connell (is that even fact??). So people have to try to find some connection to existing characters. WHY!??! It's like in Joe #2, the synposis made the Labrat character into Doc. There's nothing that says the Labrat character is the same as Doc. Scarlett calls him Doc, but that could be short for "Dr. Soandso" as scientists are called Doctors as well as the medical ones. SHe also calls him Labrat, which makes me think he's the scientist version of Brainstorm. But because he's a black man in glasses and Scarlett called him doc, he instantly had to be the Joe's medic. Stop making connections where there may not be any.
