The best effort from ROC was Heavy Metal, he was pretty spot on, save for rather lame legs. Thunder was passable, as was Monkeywrench and at least the Motor-Viper got new parts and wasn't all kitbash. But if the Club or Hasbro ever wants to take a stab at any of those again besides maybe Heavy Metal, I'd buy them. Cutter included in the kitbash list.

Is a proper Arah frostbite the last sunbow joe needed to be made?
Granted there needs to be a big lob and sparks.

It would be nice if they make another special offer for gi joe club exclusive of Payload (new head, new astronaut helmet, new astronaut suit vest, new space backpack with handles), Hardtop, Steam Roller, Rumbler (R/C Crossfire driver from 1987), Skystriker (Tiger Force Pilot), Sea Slug, WORMS, Ice-Viper (1987 Snow Wolf Driver), Frostbite (Snow Cat Driver)

None of those you listed are from Sunbow, though (the cartoon TV series). There are a few more besides Frostbite from the animated continuity, if we're counting the movie characters (ex: Cobra La guys, Big Lob) and then I guess there are some animated-originating characters like Sparks that were made in later years by the Club, but of the original ARAH figures (from the original 80s toy line) who were also on the Sunbow cartoon, I'm pretty sure Frostbite is the only one truly missing who hasn't had a modern figure that looked remotely like his vintage toy or animation model.
I guess you could say tan Clutch, but Clutch appeared in the cartoon and we've gotten a pretty close vintage figure of him and even updates. |

I think most people know what "Sunbow Joes" mean without nitpicking characters that appeared in one or 2 scenes. But sure, there's also the ripoff James Bond guy, and the Geraldo Rivera clone, and so on and so on. "Numerous scientists"?
Of the few cartoon-origin characters, I think people would likely want Wong, Sparks, Colonel Sharpe and Admiral Ledger who appeared multiple times and were actually involved in stories and the action. Besides that, I don't think the value is really there to make any of those others besides as novelty figures. |
