Agreed, maybe because it is about "licensing" they just want to keep it in-house for now.

This is more about future movies and other futures for Hasbro. Tf4 is being filmed now, and MLP is in the works as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a Joe sequel there with Chu directing but there isn't much to show yet.

I think this brand on going on the bench for awhile.
Which, honestly, is fine for a few years. It has been an amazing windfall of incredible stuff for the last few (6?) years. A Tomahawk and the final dream Wave are a great, great way close the book on this chapter. We are now entering the phase of this brand that the 12" guys have been in for the last 20 years. Convention exclusives. |

Doesn't this just go along with no Joes in Europe? I guess an American army is just to offensive now to the world. It probably means nothing though.

If Hasbro does SDCC with nothing new to announce for the Joe line aside from what we already know, I might worry a little. If they did it again at NYTF next Feb, I'd worry a lot. Until then, there is nothing to worry about.

I'm sure more stuff is coming eventually. Retaliation's success and the fact that the stores near me that sell Joe have been selling out and re-stocking over and over recently proves there's still life in the Joe brand.

I don't really understand why it seems all the emphasis has been taken off of Joe as we near the 50th anniversary and are coming off the heels of a hugely successful movie.
I'm not worried about the brand as a whole because it's a staple, and if it gets reinvented, or goes on hiatus, Hasbro will never let it die in the long term. I gotta say though, its rather annoying that we finally get a movie that is closer to what we were all hoping for, and some of the best Joe toys of all time will be hitting soon, but despite that we literally haven't heard a peep about any future Joe plans, with the exception of maybe that recently uncovered Amazon 4 pack. It's all just very strange to me.

Because it's an International Licensing Expo and Hasbro has all but given up pushing Joe internationally besides as a film property?

I am not worried. They weren't going to make Big Lob or Eco Warriors. I am beginning to understand the appeal in vintage
