Any chance that this can be bought in a soft copy form?
It's not what you're thinking, I respect intellectual property rights. I just want to have it in my tablet. If this can be bought online in soft copy format, pls let me know asap.

Not that I'm aware of. The closest you'll probably get is the IDW app, which will let you download the Classics and the special missions classics.

Readers --
Let me explain why I proposed the changes in issue #20, "Home is Where the WAR Is!" re: what LOOKED to be Short-Fuze in the original book... well... IT WAS NOT SHORT-FUZE. And the character was ultimately, properly changed to Doc. The artist on issue #20, "Geof Isherwood" (one of my personal favorite pencilers of the 1980's, since I was a hu-u-u-u-uge fan of D.C. Comics' Suicide Squad), was totally unfamiliar with the uniforms of the members of the G.I. Joe team and did not receive a style/character guide for this issue (!); therefore, Geof gave the Joes generic uniforms--fatigues and costuming similar to the standard unis. worn by the "straight-arm" figures/characters of '82/'83 (e.g. Breaker, Grunt, Hawk, etc., etc.). In the original script AND in the original published issue, on p. 18, panel #2, Clutch speaks to DOC (!), who's holding the wounded Billy, NOT to Short-Fuze (the character is NEVER referred to as Short-Fuze in the issue--only as Doc, and toward the final panels, even LOOKS like the trusty medic). Unfortunately, without a style/character guide, Isherwood had no reference available: he didn't make the character African-American, and he didn't render Doc's uniform properly. The character featured in this issue is Doc all-along... but looks in the original printed version somewhat LIKE Short-Fuze--from a quick glance. It's not. So then, I had IDW color the character's uniform from olive-drab to tan in order to match the true color of Doc's fatigues, I had them tint Doc's glasses green (like the '83 figure), and had them eliminate Doc holding an M-16 on p. 22, panel #1 since Carl W. Greer is an official non-combatant and "an avowed pacifist" (from his File Card). My goal: correct obvious mistakes. -- Mark Bellomo |

I have a complete set of the TPBs and am now collecting these, which I absolutely love. Now I can let my 8-year old son read the TPBs and keep the collected volumes as my set.
Please finish this run! |

How about that! That's prettymuch what I am doing with
My 9 year old! Great fun watching him get into reading. Mark, thanks for the detailed explanation--I love to hear behind-the-scenes commentary. I hope we hear more from you here. I plan to buy each volume. Best, Smitty |
