I kind of like actually fireing the two spring loaded missle launchers I have.
The resolute five pack launcher is really where I want hasbro to start going with the misssles though. concealing the neon missle in a realistic structure rocks for fans of realism and fans of play value. Glad to see these pics. The toyfare offerings for vehicles felt a little slim. I'd like to buy that blue gijoe team firebay definitely. Possibly the "not the flak" cannon as well if it hooks onto the modern era vamp.

Wow, those are terrible. Not to mention it seems like Duke comes with every one of them.

Because it makes them different from the original molds and because kids like spring-loaded weapons.
If you want a non spring-loaded Firebat or RAM, you can probably find them out at your local store as we speak. The Sting Raider and Cobra Gunship had spring-loaded weapons on them to begin with. In most of these cases, the spring-loaded weapons are not particularly obtrusive to the design and don't particularly hurt the aesthetics. I know some people have a Pavlovian reaction to "spring loaded weapons" but believe it or not, sometimes it isn't that bad. |

What is the stingray looking thing? I know it's from the VvV line but what is it? Is it some sort of flying machine or is it a kind of submarine? If it’s a Sub that would be kind of cool.
I am very worried and upset that Hasbro is using these older toys for the movie line. If they release the Whirlwind, Ferret ATV and other stuff for the movie line then not release them down the road for us that will really really suck. Hopefully they will give them to us in their original colors with no big missile launcher add ons. It's funny, but all Hasbro has to do to make every GI Joe collector happy is to tell us what there plains are. Announce that the 25th line is alive and well and that it will be back after the movie line. Or announce that the line is over. Sure we would be upset if it's over but at least we would know what the deal is. Not knowing is driving us crazy. And sure they said it would come back after the movie but a lot has changed with Hasbro since then and I'm not sure we can rely on that statement anymore. |

Putting my vehicles together used to be one of my favorite things to do. I use to spend so much time putting the stickers on just right. In fact I had so much fun doing that I started making models and then went into toy making myself. The fun I had doing that is the soul point of why I prototype toys today.

No, the 25A line was not WILDLY successful. It was more successful than Hasbro expected it to be, but "wildly" successful would have earned it shelf-space equal to lines like Star Wars, Transformers, etc...
Collectors have a tendency to overinflate just how well the "modern era line" has done. It's made Hasbro some money, but it's not even close to what they're pulling in from TF or SW. The seeming scarcity of some items is due more to poor distribution and smaller production runs than everything selling out everywhere. All that having been said, I actually agree with you. Hasbro's going to trot out old molds...we've already seen it with the Ice Sabre. Of course, there's a very real possibility that these vehicles could be a combination of both 25A items that were postponed/cancelled and some future movie items. Mercenary 696 (and many of the other posters on this board and others) just hasn't been listening very well to what Hasbro has pretty explicitly spelled out several times now: The 25A or "classic" product is going away for the movie, and coming back after the movie. Or at least that's Hasbro's plan last we heard of it, and is in keeping with the business models that Hasbro has employed for their other major boys toy brands (Transformers and Star Wars). I seem to recall Hasbro stating a massive jump in stock, and they quoted that to be the case of the "newly instated, G.I.Joe line of toys" ... So yeah, Hasbro execs are getting fat raises, and nice vacations from us, and in turn are spreading their cheeks and farting out chunks of crap for us

But anyway, there's no telling what Hasbro has planned for these figures just yet. |

Hopefully those Firebat pods are removable. That and the Whirlwind are the only interesting ones to me.

It does kind of look like a Roadblock head. Even if it's not a RB head why would they use a bald head for Recondo, but I guess since these are prototypes it really doesn't matter because they will go through changes if the ever go into production.
