Does the figure that comes with the stingray looking thing look like a prototype of the Lamprey figure that is coming with the new 7 pack??? With helmet removed of course which makes me rather psyched for the finished product...

That's the word anyway. And the helmet's right, the more I look at it. But the head seems like it's supposed to be a distinct character still. It seems odd that they'd put [what looks like, to me] a full face on a nameless, soulless Cobra trooper.

I wouldn't put a lot of faith on the head/figure combo's you see here. Isn't that a Roadblock head on Recondo? (with the Whirlwind)
Could just be another mismatched head on the figure with the Stingray, and not what's underneath the Lamprey helmet. |

That's an interesting point. Because the upper body's not at all what we've seen for Recondo based on the 7 pack images. It does appear to be Outback. Huh. Either way, Hasbro will tell us what it is if and when they finally sell these at mass retail.

I agree with the last few comments in regards to the mismatched heads. I dont not think that will be the lamprey head nor does it look the head you can see through the visor in the toy fair press pics. I was more just psyched about confirming the removable helmet as that is tried and true way to get me to buy a figure. While I'm on the topic... Any thoughts on if the strato viper will have a removable helmet. I posted last week that when you watch the toy fair demonstrations of the night raven the fig in the cockpit looks to be helmet-less but with the body of the strato/air viper. Video is fuzzy though... If so I will have one of my childhood fantasies met with a strato with removable helmet.... just a sucker for head gear!!!!

AND.... if you look closely at the Recondo fig in the photo and shots from toy fair they are in fact the same fig minus the head. The one above just has the added gear which appears to be the gear from the tunnel rat fig..... maybe???

Just for the record, the photo gallery doesn't work with Google Chrome either.
