I understand the need for the movie figures. I probably won't buy a lot of them, but I won't lie and say I won't buy any because I will buy SE in trench coat, SS, and maybe Sigma 6 suit Scarlett ;)
I also agree both lines probably shouldn't be on the shelves together, but my problem and some other peoples problem is why lie about giving us new 25th Joes at retail until the movie is released. Echo I don't think anyone is saying your not a true Joe collector I don't think there is a definition of a true Joe collector we all have different collecting habits. Until I joined this site I never even heard of someone troop building and now that I have I think it is awesome, do I do it no, but if I had the room and extra money I probably would, but just because I don't doesn't make me a better collector or if I open and the next guy doesn't it doesn't make either one of us better or worse collectors, so don't get caught up in the who is more of a true Joe collector than the next guy because we all have our unique collecting habits Some people like RAH some like Sigma 6 some like VvV some like the 25th and some like it all and then others like bits and pieces of all the Joe lines, so to me their is no definition for a True Joe collector it really can't be defined IMO Last edited by SNAKE EYES; 02-15-2009 at 04:29 PM.. |

Ok I would like a confirmation here, please. Are those items in the Pit pictures going to be cardboard or are they stand-ins. I am really not a big cardboard item fan. If we are getting card board items like these I will just have to leave them un punched, un built, and minty fresh.

People get all up in the air and the normal "nerd anger" turns to pure "nerd RAGE!" when people don't get just what they want when they want. It is good to take a step back and think about the big picture. Nobody is better than the next person. Yet some people seem to think that if they don't get what they want then then everything else is just crap. |

when is SDCC? April? Any 25th/modern stuff showed at JoeCon would be for the end of the year as it would be too close to the movie for it to be released around that time save for an online exclusive maybe.
I plan on seeing the movie, but I don't have a real interest in the toys. the whole reason I started collecting again was because of the 25th/classic figures. Here's what we saw in Toy Fair 2008: Vehicles Shown: G.I.Joe VAMP Armadillo/Air Chariot RAM Cycle/Cobra Flight Pod (Trouble Bubble) Mock up of a Hiss Tank Figures Shown: Wave 6 Wave 7 Wave 8 Bat from Wave 9 DVD Packs Shown: MASS Device Weather Dominator Comic Packs Shown: Crimson Twins Battle Damage SE & SS Fred/Scarface Then at SDCC 2008 we saw all this: Vehicles Shown: Fang/Claw Awestriker Firebat Sharc Skyhawk Sting Raider Figures Shown: Wave 10 Wave 11 DVD Pack Shown: Prototypes of Sets 3 & 4 Best of DVD #5 TRU Exclusive Greenshirts set and CG's set Comic Packs Shown: Beach Head/Mainframe Combat Heroes Mighty Muggs Target Exclusive Ultimate Battle Pack Then later at the Joe Con 2008 we saw: Vehicles Shown: Target Exclusive Conquest and Rattler Figures Shown: Extreme Conditions Sets TRU Exclusive SRO Sets (Wave 2) DVD Sets Shown: Set 3 and 4 Comic Packs Shown: Falcon/Nemesis Destro/IG So we may yet see a whole lot more, especially since there was at least one wave of Comics and Single figures that didn't even get shown at any of these 2008 shows |

No Destro? I'm pretty ticked off. He'd better show up in wave 3. :(
