JoeCon 2013 Important Dealer Update
Make sure you read all of the G.I.Joe Club emails if you are heading out to the show so you do not show up unprepared. Attendees and Dealer packages have requirements in order to pick up your goods. JoeCon 2013 Important Dealer Update - GI Joe News

I just got 5 emails from the club.
First it said pick up Wednesday because I'm on the first tour. The last one was for Thursday pick up. I have the feeling their phones will be busy this week.

I just filled out the form, I was caught off guard by it. Apparently it was mentioned in the con brochure or some other PDF file I never download. I wish they had put it in one of the emails for registration confirmation, or the email for the dealer registration receipt. Hopefully the filing all goes through in time.

I had seen it in the con brochure. Had to speak with someone in the sales tax office (after drinking heavily and repeatedly banging my head against the keyboard).
They were really easy to deal with. If your certificate doesn't arrive in time, they're able to fax it to you. John |

I'm just surprise I got an e-mail. But then again I get all e-mails that have nothing to do with FSS.
The Store opens @ 6:00pm Thursday and my pick up is Thursday at 7:00. Can I pick up before 7:00??? Guess I'll just go from the airport straight to the pick up line.

Indiana is a notorious stickler for getting their tax revenues. If memory serves, it's made light of in either "A Christmas Story" or "My Summer Story" when everyone is scrambling around trying to hide their possessions from the tax assessor.
Personally, I had trouble when I bought my GT500 there from out of state and had paid the sales tax and then my home state wouldn't let me register my vehicle without paying sales tax here too. Fortunately, the dealer helped me out there.

You are always required to pay taxes at these types of venues... This should not be a surprise.
However, no one will be collecting it (except the club) much like past events and nothing will come of it. |

Most of your larger events will tell you that you need to have your tax paper with you when u check in. I personal just add the taxes into my prices. My 1st show I did, add on tax at the end of the sale. It was just a super pain the the rear. Making sure I had the change to do it and keeping track of it all. It just much easier to take the total sale
