I just figured it was Karma. Force an ego fueled figure to us into the first run of the FSS and so far it's the only one that has had a widespread defect. Keep this in mind Big Brawler, lol.

Hah. I had Iron Klaw on pre-order at BBTS. Thank god I cancelled him. I can't get over how shitty the beret on the head looks. I truly wish it was just molded on. Would've looked a hell of a lot better like that.

We did attempt to bill your credit card for the 3rd installment of the GI Joe FSS but for some reason, possibly a computer glitch, your order did not bill and was placed in our incomplete listing. We will need to reprocess your order manually, therefore will need your 3 digit code from the back of your credit card in order to do so. This information can be emailed to me. If you need to change your credit card completely you will need to contact me at 817-448-9863. I will need to hear from you by Friday, April 19, 2013 as we are trying to get these finalized so we can start shipping the next batch of figures. Thank you for your time and I will wait to hear from you. Angie |

I agree also. Funny that it happened on a figure that no one really was into....could you imagine if there was a major problem with one of the more desired figures like Cover Girl or Big Boa?
Speaking of which, my BB's lower left leg (the bottom knee joint) is a bit wonky....doesn't want to fully bend, seems like if I try it, it'll snap. I had the same problem with the JP Face Tattoo Guy who has the same legs, but excused it on him since I felt he was just a Chinese Factory reject. Anyone else have this issue? |

Sorry, but all the club apologists on the internet couldn't make up for the fact that everyone that subscribed paid a premium for the subscription figures, and this one had a defect, whether it was on the entire run or not.
The club should have either had another, fixed, run of the figure made for the subscribers, and delayed him until a later wave. Or they should be offering some sort of reconciliation to the members who paid a premium for a flawed figure. "They are all the same" may be a fact, but that doesn't make it ok. I absolutely understand being upset that a defect like this slipped through. I would hope that the club is pursuing this to try to find out what happened, and to ensure it doesn't happen with any future figures. But these figures are priced the way they are not because the club is making a fortune on each one, but because manufacturing small runs of action figures is expensive. Assuming this is something that slipped by the club (iow was their fault), they would have to pay for a completely new run, and likely wouldn't get the same pricing because they wouldn't be producing thirteen small runs of figures at the same time. That would be a HUGE expense with no additional income, and is unrealistic at best. As usual, I definitely feel they could have handled the situation much better. Ideally, they would have sent an email out to all subscribers after having discovered the error with a brief explanation, an apology, and a promise to be more vigilant in the future. That would be far more professional than sticking their heads under the ground and hoping as few as possible notice. But expecting them to eat thousands of very expensive figures over a single paint app on an arm is pretty crazy. Hasbro would never do that... they would just float them out there and correct it asap. |
