Are there 2 versions of the new CG? I just got one and it is a brownish red not the correct crimson color of the orginal, Crimson Strike Team, and the 04-05 CG's. Will this be a running change like the yellow Stalker? I gotta say it bugs the hell out of me. It is a great figure it just doesn't match up with the rest of the "crimson" family. I did notice the area painted around his boots IS the correct red. That is what makes me think the first shipment might be a mistake and will be corrected later. Anyone know any thing about this?

Not that I've heard of (which prob means very little). I think the difference in color on the figure is the difference between the red of the plastic (for most of the body) and the red paint (over the black plastic of the lower legs).

No, it straight up the wrong color, when it is next to other crimson figures it looks like a washed out red or orange. It's like that on all three of the ones I have, kinda like the CAT2 that came out a couple years ago. If someone can PM me directions to upload a pic I will show it next to other figures. I can't believe they let this one slide.

I noticed the same thing. The color doesn't match the original's red. It just might be a design choice this time around, to have the red more muted then it's been in the past.

Follow the upload directions, basically make sure your pictures are on your computer's hard drive somewhere, click "browse," find the photo on your computer, click ok, then click "upload." Once it's on Photobucket, click on the "IMG Code" just below your pictures. It should auto copy to your clipboard. Then come here, create, reply or quote a post and paste the data by pressing "Ctrl" + "V" (paste) on your keyboard. * Make sure your photo is 600X800 or so. *Make sure you're at least 3 feet from the figure unless you're using the MACRO setting on your camera, otherwise all we'll get is a blurry figure with a focused background. You can crop photos in MS Paint and upload them using the above instructions.

This isn't an error, it's a design choice. The new artwork if you noticed is also not the old version's red, but a more maroon-like color. I could see Hasbro re-releasing it in a more red crimson like the original if enough people really created a stink and demanded it.

It just seems like the 25th has more of a dull realistic color to them then previous generations of joes.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing this guy released in a more vibrant red. Hasbro - please revise the Crimson Guard in a brighter red uniform!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I think what DaViper is pretty accurate, the new Joes are just lest vibrant in color and more realistic.
