Well I've been one of the unlucky few I guess. Haven't been able to get any orders to go through yesterday or today before they closed the store. Dang it all I really wanted was 3 Undertows.

Not alone, I just wanted 5 Undertows and another Nullifier. I was even considering another Copperhead just to chop up.

So… I got an email from the Club today saying that the order I finally got through Monday evening needed additional shipping to cover the Adventure Team poster I ordered. It has to be shipped separately in a tube so they want an additional $7 from me. So I called in...
Instead of referencing the email immediately, I explained to the woman who answered that I had called in Monday morning as I was having problems selecting the shipping online. The woman took my order and was going to place the order for me, but she had a problem with the shipping as well and she would have to call me back when it was fixed. Since I wanted to make sure I got my items before they sold out, I kept checking throughout the day online. When I saw that the shipping was fixed, I immediately called in to finish the order. The woman then told me that they were having problems with the discounts so she still couldn't place my order and would call me back when they were all set. But... I never heard back. She said she would find the person and put me on hold. I was then transferred to the woman who sent me the email today. She said that she was the one who took my call the other day. I asked her why she didn't call me back. She said that the store still has problems and internally, they aren't able to place orders for people, but some people are able to order online. I told her, that "yes, I know"... as I was able to place an order on Monday evening, finally, except that the Undertows that were sold out. I told her that I was an aggravated, unhappy customer, but I was going to let go the fact that they didn't call me and let go of the item I wasn't able to get. However, now that they are telling me I need to pay more money for an order that I already paid for, that crosses the line for me as a customer. I told her I understand it's not her fault personally, but the Collectors Club has been a nightmare this year and she agreed. I asked her if she could offer me a goodwill credit for this current aggravation, and waive the $7 they are demanding if I want the item I ordered. She said No they won't, because if they do it for me, they would have to do it for everybody. All of the items I ordered are Club exclusives, so they have a monopoly on these items. If that weren't the case, they would have no customers and would be out of business. So wait a minute... I was just trying to enter my order for literally the 40th time just now (I downloaded and installed Chrome this time to see if it would be any better) and in the middle everything started saying the store is closed. Does this mean the sale is over???
I've been trying to order constantly since Monday morning and have never gotten an order through. I also called last night and gave my order to a lady on the phone, and she said she would put it in but the system wasn't working for her either at the moment. They better not screw me on the pricing... I've got $200 of stuff I 'm dying to get! |

I have not ordered anything from the club due to the frustration I hear about from other members. So far no issues with the past 2 exclusives I have gotten, and the usual newsletter/magazines I receive monthly. Is it worth the hassle to even order items from the club? I see some good stuff, so help a guy out with some honest input.

Personally I never had a problem ordering from them. It seems to only affect some members, which seems strange. Who knows, you may be one of the lucky ones.
I did have my info compromised that one time, but after a quick call to the CC provider I had it all straightened it out. |
