I'm a bit confused on the "stretch" goals.
A lot of the items are weapons that are already available/have already been done. Some of them say "Update" which I assume means they'd be exactly that: A remolded/redone version of an older weapon, but what about the other ones? Are they all going to be "new/updated" items or is it just adding already-existing items to the packages if they reach that level? |

I know that Marauders is the best place to find weapons.
However, I stand by my opinion that the scale on some of the last release was off. A few of the most anticipated weapons like the FOS, AKM and Vector few simply too big. I know MJ holds tight to the true 1:18th scale but there is a difference between theory and actual use. Second he's had several items in the past that have not been "correct" in scale (on the smaller side) like the M-4 CARBINE (non-modular) that obviously look alot better in the figures hands than the larger models. Third, this idea actually translates to the real world today. Compare a Vietnam era M-16, Desert Storm M-4 and a present day AR platform. The appearance is the same but the stocks, grips, hand guards and in some cases... even the lower, are getting smaller and lighter. Why? To fit into the hands of shooters of different shapes and sizes. Finally, when the last series was released this site went nuts with people choosing sides. For the most part, people liked the new stuff. But there was a small, but vocal group, who agreed with opinion that the scale was too big. This lead to excessive debate and some name calling. Those who said the stuff was on target listed reason like a .308 AR is bigger than a 5.56 AR and they are right. But here's the simple truth... The bigger the gun, the harder it is to position in a realistic stance of a plastic action figure. Even with 16+ points of articulation, the new FOS looks too big and bulky for most figures when compared to the original modular M4. (And would anybody have complained if the weapons had been just slightly too small verses slightly too big? Maybe just your wife... but probably nobody.) That being said, I hope MJ gets the support he needs and the next series is a smashing success. However, I will be patient, save my money and when they are released... order one complete set to see if the scale works better this time. Release the hounds...

BTW... When was the last time you heard a company say we need your help (money) to put out a product into production?
Doesn't that make the customer a partner/share holder?

Having no experience with making donations to any Kickstarter projects before, is there any way to use PayPal?
When I went to donate, it took me to Amazon.com... :/ |
