Cool guy!
Seems very centered and honest. Their designs for Joes charcters are great, and look much more cool/realistic than normal drawings. And makes more sense too. Quote:

Meh, they're basically the same. To be honest, i've confused both for years. In fact, the one of the movie looks awesome, that should be the basic Heavy Duty. Gatling gun-like weapon rules! |

That WWIII cover (DESTRO & BARONESS) was hideous. How is this guy getting work over artists 100X better?

http://www.ifanboy.com/comics/comics...over-large.jpg I must admit that looks terrible... But you must have in mind that he's getting better, and the art now doesn't look that bad. Plus, he seems to make them at time. Doing one page a day is quite a daunting task (and this seems to be the main concern today with publishers), more if you have in mind the quantity of documentation and details you need for Joes comics. Their character designs looks much much more better. |

Im looking forward to getting all three titles when they come out, I enjoyed issue 0, and if the story lines are good the art work can be a little lacking.

And why does Hasbro have a problem calling Roadblook by his name,or keeping them two differant people, i liked how the spytroops said that heavyduty was his nephew.

Let's remember one thing, as much as we all love G.I.Joe and think it's the coolest thing, G.I.Joe comics have never been top-draw comic books. They have never attracted the top talent in pencilers/inkers/etc...
And smaller publishers, like IDW (in comparasion to one of the biggies: Image, Marvel, DC, Dark Horse), don't have access to the same talent level. Artists tend to start at a company like IDW or Devil's Due and then move onto Marvel or DC. Francis Manupal, who did some G.I.Joe: Frontline work for DDP, is now doing great work at DC and getting alot of buzz. The Jae Lee drawn Joe/Transformers is a rarity. So having an artist like Atkins isn't out of the ordinary, compared to having someone established. You won't see guys like Tom Raney or Howard Porter clamoring to be the artist on IDW's relaunch of G.I.Joe. If Dixon hadn't had the falling out with DC, you probably wouldn't have had him as a writer on one of the books. And this is a relaunch at a new publisher. There's alot of uncertainty that goes with that. IDW is doing good with Transformers, but will that carry over to the Joe line? So that kind of insecurity makes it hard to attract talent as well. So does the pay. Chances are good that most of the budget is in the writers (Dixon and Gage are names, sure they didn't come cheap). So that doesn't leave much to the artists. That they only have Atkins signed up for the first 6 issues is a telling sign: either they have someone else lined up to replace him because they don't have faith in him, or they're playing it close to the vest and protecting themselves in case of poor sales. That being said, I realy hope they don't go with having a different artist for every arc. I really hate that.
