Havok is right. Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Avatar was both shot in 3D from start to finish. Michael Bay hired the same equipment and crew from the Avatar for the movie. Digital Domain was the mastermind behind converting all the CGI to 3D since they can't actually be shot in 3D.
Michael Bay logged to his official website today, to let everyone know that he no longer owns Digital Domain. In fact it's been a while since he sold his shares. Quote:
For those people and press asking: I stopped being an officer or director of the company over three years ago, and have not owned stock in the company for some time. I have remained a loyal client and supporter of the company however. It has amazing people and talent, and it still can be a great company! During this difficult time, my thoughts are with the great people I've had the pleasure to work with at DD.

Doesn't matter, it will still end up looking like The Phantom Menace over Prometheus.

I have seen several newer films in 3D and have not been at all impressed with them. I could do with out the 3D effects and really, it's just a gimmick that's lost on me.
I was hoping the delay of the movie might have been due in part to wait out Sgt. Slaughters Mattel contract so he could be added to Retaliation...one can only hope... |

Oh snap.
This is the "trusted" established company that's gonna pioneer seamless conversions into the next generation of film?? The same company that just filed for bankruptcy today???? Wah wah wah waaaaaaahhh. (sad trombone) |
