I just happened upon it the other day scanning through netflix. The first episode was bad. The second episode was a little less bad. By episode 3 it actually hooked me. I've been watching it to go to sleep to at night. I'd have to say it is somewhat enjoyable.

Joe fans seem so divided on this show, love or hate... I think it was awesome that we got a cartoon at all. I really liked it but the MAJOR flaw with the show is that the first season dragged too much. I understand the overall scheme and 3-5 season total story arc which would have been awesome if it had been allowed to happen. I see they were using season 1 to build up to a more ARAH type story line starting in season 2 it's just the general public didn't want a long drawn out story line they wanted the meat and potatoes from the gate. Personally me I liked how they were taking the story slow but again that is just me. I hope the show continues or we get some kind of cartoon after the movie. But this brings up another issue that has been beaten to death on the Tank is Hasbro keeps changing lanes so quickly that no one form of Joe is around for more than a year or so and they can't seem to time their toy lines with their other media (movies/dvds/tv) and thus it's no wonder kids don't get into it and it personally frustrates me with the brand and collecting. I mean I really had no interest in the Resolute 7-packs by the time they came out cause I'd watched the movie a bunch of times already and had moved on to the POC line... Anyways the main point was at least G.I. Joe was still on TV with new shows after all these years and at the least let's hope it continues...

I myself cant see what the problem with animated shows here in the states is, for example: Young Justice started in November 2010 the first season is supposed to have 26 episodes the season finale is next week on the 21st and supposedly there is a 2nd season with 20 episodes. while in Japan Bleach just finished an 8 year run with 366 episodes 51 episodes a week with a week off a year for 8 years with awesome animation and high production values and no reruns. that means you can watch one bleach episode a day for a whole year. Is that too much to asdk for a good show that has more than 15 episodes per season with a 6 month hiatus to see how how it turns out?

Wow. I would love to know how much producing that cost VS what Hasbro is spending/ wiilling to spend on a Joe cartoon. |

I pushed off watching it for awhile but I was hooked almost immediately too. There was just something about it that was so cool. At first the animation style turned me off but then I started to really like it.

They couldn't carry on with 'Renegades' as a title, because at the end of the 1st Season the Joes' clear their name and are no longer renegades. I'm glad too that they didn't stretch out that plotline any longer, it was a bit too long anyway in my opinion.
I thought the dialogue was okay, the voice cast was pretty good, and it generally hit the right buttons. Major Bludd was my favourite. Be good if those elements were to return in a follow-up, but I suspect they'll wait to see how the movie does. |

I just finished watching Renegades on Netflix, and I was pretty impressed with this show. There is drama, comedy, and great voice acting. Cobra Industries is much more realistic than Cobra of the old shows. I admit that the animation of the character can look cartoon-y at times, but there are some impressive animated segments and it grows on you. For example, when Airtight and good bio-viper team up to fight Dr. Mindbender-That animation fight was well done! The second part I like about Renegades is their design concept. Character's uniforms are very modern, futuristic, and realistic where it can be translated to the real world. For example, Duke, Tunnel Rat, Scarlett, and Road Block looks like military contractors. Snake Eyes uniform looks futuristic with the white accent through his uniform. Cobra Industries has great uniforms too. The vehicles are awesome, like Firefly's motorcycle. very modern and realistic. Third thing I like about is their actual toys. The best g.i.Joe toy line was the Renegades series. period! Check out the Renegades Storm Shadow action figures and Firefly's too. Scarlet and Duke was really well done. Hasbro need to use the same toy designers to make more Renegades characters like Roadblock, Flint, Lady Jaye, Baroness, Destro, etc. This show has potential to be great and I hope they continue this series. just have to vent. thanks for listening

I think some of us say we liked it,cause there is nothing better Joe related around and they settle for what they get, lol. Scarlet in this series was real fugly - she looked like she had down syndrome with a red wig on.
