There was a trailer for Renegades on the Transformers Prime Blu Ray, and it did look good, even if the Renegades footage was in SD instead of HD. I've noticed with newer cartoons, even if you're watching them on DVD, some of them tend to look very good.

The half a season is all for money. Vol 1 then Vol 2 then the complete Blu Ray. When eventually some of us may buy all 3. I will def be buying this in June. Like others said it will help clean up the DVR. I don't have any problems with it.

I'm so getting this. But, honestly why are people complaining about it being split. If its $30 for a whole season or $15 for half a season you will be paying the same price. I think everyone should buy these to support GI Joe in cartoons.

I don't care what anyone else says-- I notice a huge difference between DVD and Blu-Ray, and I suspect that anyone saying otherwise likely has not seen enough HD content to be able to tell a difference. When I first bought a DVD player, I could tell there was a slight upgrade over VHS, but it was not really noticeable until my DVD library grew just what a big leap it was. Going back to a VHS tape after getting used to DVD made VHS look like a blurry mess. It's not quite as bad going back to DVD from Blu-Ray, but the picture quality is noticeably inferior. Everything is blurrier and more pixelated even on a decent upconverting player, and on a lot of discs (especially animation) I notice a considerable amount of interlacing problems.
When I look at a good Blu-ray transfer, it's so crisp and clean that the images absolutely pop off of the screen-- it looks better than a lot of movie theaters I've been to, and for animation fans Blu-Ray is a dream come true. The stuff Disney puts out is an absolute feast for the eyes, and watching the same films on DVD now leaves me feeling disappointed because the quality of the line art just isn't there. I've been buying Blu-Ray movies since 2006 and I'm not going back to DVD, even if that means I have to wait a long time to own GI Joe Renegades.

Great series. I hope some Joe fans who didn't watch it will give it a chance. I was not initially happy with the look or premise of it, but decided to watch a few episodes and see... and was glad I did. I think the creators had a lot of love for the classic Joe cartoons and comics, and worked in a lot of things that made me quite pleased by the end of the series.
