Thats what I was thinking.. but if Hasbro is saying they never made tooling for it, that is one of the best hand painted sculpts i have ever seen. LOL

if it was too cost prohibitive for Hasbro to do it certainly would be too expensive for the Club. especially if the molds were never created.
certainly looks production quality, but that would be for some of our more knowledgeable residents to explain. |

What isn't pictured that was supposed to come with the Data Viper is a drone.. the helmet the figure wears and the controllers in his hand were used to control the drone. Somewhat a connection to our modern military. I really liked this figure. there are some pics out there of him without his helmet as well.

So what we saw at Joecon was probably plastic and not a hand sculpted figure, but at the same time it wasn't a factory made figure. |

Not to be a downer but my theory is that Flint was canceled, not just because this wave was canceled but because I think he wouldn't have been that much more of a step up from Resolute Flint. Maybe the same head sculpt, just different gear from other figures.
No doubt, Hasbro may have been able to pull off something awesome, I mean Stalker is bad ass but he had no new tooling at all.

There was enought time to release this wave in my opinion last 30th waves dates from January hasbro could have released these in March or so. But I guess they didn't want to compete with the Avengers line or vice-versa

Well you have to consider production time.. they were probably already in production of the Retaliation toys as early as mid Jan. so that doesn't leave room for them to keep producing 30th figures. Thus moving some of the planned 30th figures to the Retaliation line instead of straight up cancelling them.
