Apologies. Your name popped into my head when typing it. Couldn't remember which of ya had said it.
I'm still very curious where that is going. I have the comic from NYCC and there were a bunch of brands shown in it: Micronauts, MASK, Unit-E, Jem, Candyland, Action Man or Stretch Armstrong. I'd be interested in news on Micronauts, MASK or Unit-E.

Unlikely. I don't think Battleship went well because Universal dropped their multi-film deal with Hasbro because of it.

Yeah I read that, but I still think it would be cool if they made Joe scale figures and vehicles.

But I think the official statement from Hasbro at NYCC was that UNIT-E wasn't really a "thing" and that the book was just a celebration of the various Hasbro/Kenner brands and a way to show folks that they haven't completely forgotten about them. Coupled with a side of "several of our designers have had ideas about how to reinvent these brands, and while we're not doing them, we figured we'd toss the all in a blender and mix for this comic." In reality, it may well have been a backdoor marketing tool to see how folks reacted to some of the changes that were made to various properties (MASK was significantly different, and Centurions weren't even listed by name). Who knows what Hasbro took from it? It'll be interesting to see if they offer up any kind of continuation at SDCC or NYCC this year. |

I just bought the first five part mini of Centurions on DVD! I loved those toys as a kid, I just wish the weapons would stick in better.

Unit-E was a seperate brand, not connected to the others.
They sure got some top notch comic artists doing the art. But yeah, I remember them saying it wasn't really anything yet. Wouldn't surprise me to see something coming out though. They put some thought into it because MASK was a new version of the concept.
