if i read the magazine right in this moths issue, commander lane mentioned that the dead line for subscribers is jan 31st since as always figures are in short suply and first come first serve, for the 12 membership figures i think it is the $40 something membership, i thought the footloose figure was a extra perk they were gifting members, assuming they don't do what they did with the Dialtone figs, which they probably will find their way to all the scalpers again like the DT figures did last joecon! as for the magazine...i like the comics, i could do better sure but i do read them with my kids and they enjoy it much! i might stand alone on this but i am satisfied with joeclub for what it's worth and i did renew my subscription with time to spare, i can't wait to get a Footloose! but if i don't? i will be more than happy to cutloose a purple polka dotted twinkie at joecon for a scalpers price...

The Hammerhead article was written by club member, (like you and I) Kevin Watts. The Renegades and comic reviews are usually written by Justin Bell and the figure reviews are written by Thomas Wheeler, also club members. I have written an article about the excitement of JoeCon (beyond the schedule). The point is, if you aren't happy with the newsletter, that is your prime chance to contribute something to the club to make it better.
The problem we, as an online community, have is is the fact that chinese factory workers are leaking product information out before Hasbro gives the club official permission to debut photos. Compound that with the fact that they are probably printing the newsletter three weeks before it's mailed (let alone doing the layout and culmination of articles) that by the time it reaches members' hands; the value is diminished. I don't think there's enough club members to shift to a digital alternative and the club continues to state they want to provide a product based on the lowest common denominator. |

That was a great article Kevin Watts wrote. I really enjoyed reading it. Articles like the one on the Hammerhead is what makes the magazine worth it to me.

Is the subscription service up and running yet?
Edit. Nevermind, I just read it on the site that it's not ready yet. |

I just joined for the first time. I had to because I never got over missing out on last years Dial-Tone.

There's a thread on facebook where someone asked if there would be a carded version available and the response from the club was yes.
