Yeah that was supposed to be his original color, but they had to cut costs, so they made SE "paintless" to save the paint schemes on the other figures.

Hey guys, new to this board, but I will pick up one of the troops pack (as a troop builder)and probably a couple of the SE ninjas packs. Not too crazy about this version of SE, would rather a Red SE (from his DD storyline, even though him coming back from the dead is dumb) but.....
I like ninjas plus these guys don't have the Cobra insignias so they are generic red ninjas. |

The only way I see BBTS selling any of the exclusives is if they buy them from TRU, Wal-mart or Target, then sell them on their site |

All of you do realize that the pics on TNI are just the mock ups and aren't pics of the real things.
If you look closely, the lead red ninja is a poorly painted over SS. You can tell that the camo patterns on all of the troops are also hand painted. This was just so they could get some kind of pics out for the new stuff at the Con. Hasbro makes a habit of rushing to get pics or protos out for the fans to see, not taking into account that they aren't always pretty for us to "oooh and Ahhh" at. I will wait till I see them first hand before I judge if they are going to be in my collection, but as I see it.. both are just perfect for building an army..so why not get them to fill the void.

Like I said on a previous page, Just release those Troopers as regular blue shirts with red sigils and everyone will stop complaining (Well, except for lack of being able to find them ;) ) |
