Can't the club hire someone from Hasbro for the card art? Or Rudat? Slice is the worst.

I really don't give a flying flip about card art, sell me the damn things in ploy bags for all I care, this just adds to how ridiculously high the price is going to be for these figures. whay can't they do the same thing as BBTS, and sell them in two sixpacks.

The GIJCC is, in my opinion, attempting to nickel and dime their customers: 1. By separately packaging each figure on a cardback with inferior artwork as if it's of a quality sufficient to be found on a cardback. 2. Selling an order of thirteen figures so that it costs as much as, if not more than, a boxed convention set. 3. Instead of offering their usual free shipping if pre-ordered within the specified time like a boxed set, they instead will charge some absurd shipping cost for six individual mailings, which might be more than the cost of the subscription itself for some destinations. 4. Might even create some sort of "steal me" markings on the outside of each box with allows six/seventh opportunities for figures to be lost/stolen during delivery. 5. Will start the 2011 subscription mailings in some part of the year 2012, so that the Joe Con showroom is selling these figures before the membership even receives theirs. Then, in true Dial Tone fashion, they will not have enough figures remaining to meet subscription demands of their membership. At least, those are my concerns voiced here, where the Club can't delete them. I can't say any of you haven't already thought of these things yourselves. These are among the most glaring faults with this program, which I believe are self-evident. BBTS richly deserves the compliments for their excellent business management... but the GIJCC, not as much. |
