I think the Black Dragon Ninja looks bad ass, works as a Black Dragon Ninja or generic ninja, if you take off the Cobra marking. I'm a fan of ninjas though, so even if it was just some random Sideshow Ninja without anything to do with GI Joe I would still like it.
Now I hope we get a Storm Shadow like this, that hood and armored mask looks cool. |

Just stop it! Right after ebay got popular & everybody saw the stupid high prices dumbass collectors were willing to fork over all the prices jumped from $19.99 to over $100. I was collecting Cy-Girls at the time. I was big into 1/6 figures at the time. They started out at $19.99, they were very high quality, highly detailed & kicked all sorts of ass. They started to get more & more popular. Then some idiot collectors started bidding them up to $150+ on ebay & then all of a sudden the companies that produced 1/6 followed right along. That's when Sideshow & Hot Toys showed up on the scene. I got all the original Cy-Girls for $19.99 each, then they started charging $29.99 each, then Midori was something like $149.99. I had to quit 1/6. Not because of the companies, not because of inflation, not because of the cost of oil. But because the companies that make these things are smart, they saw that dumb fucking toy collectors have no self control whatsoever & would pay any price. So they started jacking the prices up to $100 & $200+ because they knew they could get it. I watched the entire thing unfold from the beginning. The stupid collectors & the shill bidders that artificially inflated the prices on ebay are to blame. If they didn't do that stupid shit these things would still be between $20-$30. This is where all those last minute bidding wars got us. You think the companies that produce these things wouldn't notice? Last edited by Steelgrave; 11-23-2011 at 08:29 PM.. |

CAG and Seals receive extensive training in Combatives; Aikido, Jujitsu, Kali, Escrima. However, I have never heard of any Mililtary unit being trained in Ninjutsu, In fact I'm not really convinced that Ninjutsu is a real martial art. I think it was created by martial art fanboys in the 1970's. Ancient Samurais and "Ninjas", were trained in Aikijujitsu, the granddaddy martial art which spawned both Aikido and Jujitsu. |

We all want the prices to be lower, but in a world of buying luxuries like high end collectible toys like these (things you don't really need to live),the prices will always be higher... Last edited by teemu8; 11-23-2011 at 11:22 PM.. |

I agree. I very rarely buy 1/6 items anymore since everything got so expensive. I even wound up selling most of my high-end collection because it ended up sitting in boxes. If I do pick up any 12" stuff; it's usually Power Team, 21st, new GI Joe, or Max Steel, as I found I was having more fun with the lower end stuff. |

No,prices are higher because the cost of the license, the cost of overseas labor and plastic, and ultimately INFLATION of the Dollar! The mighty Dollar does not buy what it used to...A Devalued Currency buys much less, and causes higher prices. So,what devalues our money??? borrowing,Debt, and creating money out thin air!!Sure, secondary market prices can be an influence on just about anything, but honestly...these figures are clearly not some Hasblow 19.99 or even 29.99 product of 12" figures.Sideshow rents out the license to produce this line.(which costs $$$)I bet you don't own a single Sideshow Joe figure, now do you?

I am a huge fan of ninjas in G.I. Joe, I feel like they create a whole new storyline since some of the stories created with the core characters (both G.I. Joe and Cobra) can get very bland at times. However, if they are going to keep producing ninjas they should at least make my day and create a camouflage ninja and also create a story incorporating them into the Joe universe, then I can finally rest in peace.....lol!!!!!
