I would consider this, but I bought a boxed set last summer from a dealer I met at joelanta. It cost me $250.00 and the gas to drive 40 miles back and forth.

It's actually less than double. They had the bagged set for $150 plus shipping for those that had bought a boxed set. Now it's $280 plus shipping minus having to buy the boxed set. It's still less than eBay and less than if you had bought a boxed set and then a bagged set. No one has to buy one. I was just giving a heads-up to those that may have been interested and missed out on the set like myself.

Thanks for asking!
The parts used for the figures are up to par with the aesthetic standard of today. Crimson Twins, waaay too skinny, heads are super small. This was a problem back in 07-08 Baroness that body has looked terribly hunched over since it came out, does not stand well due to hunch arcing. She is even hunched over in the product photo. Again a problem with 07-08 And the Vipers lets say its all in the wrists now. They fixed the ankle problem by giving them Barbeques legs? I am not sure how cool I think that is. Its cool that they made the Crimson Set, but in allot of regards not so inspired. Not as cool as the sets before. Headhunters, Cobras Most Wanted, Tanks for the memories there is a ton of other stuff that was way more thought over than a bunch of troop builders pink. What the Club really should do is re-release the International figures with ME articulation from the 2009 JoeCon. Sgts Shimik, Redmack, Topson, and Manleh along side Blades are far more relevant since the subscription has been revealed than they were in 2009. Of course, this is unlikely as they were the "surprise" sets from that convention. It is easily a rip-off for them to raise the prices, but if this is something you've wanted, then I'd say go for it. Like the international figures, once they sell out, they will likely never come out again.

Or if they don't sell out, you'll be able to find them individually in the let's make a deal bins at next years con. But that's not something you should hope for either given the feeding frenzy that occurs at those things.

Look at Dial-Tone, that figure was available carded and bagged, with plenty of advance warning for only $20 carded or $40 bagged. It was already selling for $150+ when the club took it's extra carded ones and offered them at cost to club members. What made that any different? Did the fact they had a few extra mean they should have put them in the club store for $200 to retain their sanctity? I know the fans that have the wait till ROSS mentality are looked down upon as being non-supportive of the brand, and I understand and even somewhat agree with that, but IMO the club stuff is a totally different animal. I think the club should be more concerned with selling out it's products and moving forward then with overcharging for something just because they know there is demand for it. In the last sale they were selling the Cobra Most Wanted set BOXED for only $150, I don't think that did anything towards preserving the value of that set. I feel like they are trying to take advantage of the interest in this set, that's just my personal opinion though.

I never had the box set. Although MJ helped me get a loose set at the lower price. I'm glad I did. I'd pick up another set but that's a heck of a price increase after paying less than 200. I'm not saying the price is bad compared to ebay prices. Although it's not as cheap as it was before.

I still have 4 of the Crimson Vipers left if anyone wants to make an offer.
