Why is this series so unpopular? Bad writing? Cheap animation? I don't remember much about it but I know 1989 was my biggest year for Joe collecting as a kid and this series seems to showcase a lot of my figures. Was it really that bad?

Seriously it's more an unfunny Marx Brothers slapstick comedy than it is GI Joe.

I'll get it. I liked battle armor Cobra Commander. Be cool to see em in it. I bought a dvd once off ebay supposed to be the two parts of the show where he gets changed back. But it wasn't and didn't show how he was changed back.

I preordered this about a month back when it firs popped up on amazon. I loved Operation Dragonfire as a kid and can't wait to see all of these for the first time in years.
Love the cover as well as I love the Fred VII armor. |

Also how can you people bad mouth this when it introduced us to Scoop and the Alley vipers. Their prominent roles in the mini made them must have toys and two of my favorites of my childhood.
Here's hoping this leads to some DIC DVD packs. I need me a Modern era Grid-Iron! |

Im sorry but
Blue colored Sarge, Low Light, Spirit, do not exist as well as Goldy Destro and Beer Can Cobra Commander. As action figures and characters in a NES game is ok. But as characters in a low budget animation company like DIC to butcher up animation and voice actors.....not interested. |

It introduced us to Scoop, 'nuff said...
I keep thinking Low-Light is Flint when I look at that picture.

I'm actually rather stoked just to see animated versions of those characters and vehicles from that era. I anticipate spending a couple of afternoons doing nothing but screencapping.
I may just put it on mute and make up my own dialogue and hum music as it goes along.
