Hey! Did anyone else see the G.I. Joe homage on Fringe today(10/07)? The action figure Walter refers to is the original Roadblock and the Fringe episode was all about mind fungus vines. And the connection Roadblock fought with the Creeper vines in Revenge of Cobra (cartoon). Now ya know. And knowing is half the battle.

I have it DVR'ed and will be checking it out shortly. I seem to recall that they had a joe figure shown in an earlier episode but I could be mistaken.

There was a figure on Fringe first season, I think. Roadblock tonight looked old-school.

I love Fringe, the earlier episode had a Joe (i cant remember who sorry) being used to demonstrate the molecular vibration device the safe crackers were using to phase through solid walls,i think it was towards the end of season 1/start of season2???

I found it funny when he said "I remember the scar used to be on the other side" - Roadblock has no scars - but it was a reference to that he is from a parallel universe.

I love Fringe. I stopped it as soon as I saw Roadblock on got on line to see if anyone else saw it. There was also the episode last season with the flashback where somone was in a store and there was an APC and Slugger on a shelf.
I think it was Dukes helmet it was green and had no holes. |
