I like the POC Desert version far more than this one. I could never see this figure fitting in with the POC line that we ended up getting. The colors just don't say POC to me. Don't get me wrong, this one is not bad, but with those colors and the intended arctic theme, he'd fit in better with the ROC Joes (as he was meant to) or the upcoming movie 2 line. Also, the arctic gear looks much better with Arctic Destro. Repurposing this figure into a "freezing cold desert night" Snake Eyes was the right way to go.
If Hasbro does decide to sell some of the axed ROC-POC figures in the 2nd movie line (because they need to pay for that tooling and you know there will be a ton of Snake Eyes figures), then I'm totally up to buying them since they are nothing but Pre-POC goodness that were designed to fit in with the movie's look. That Arctic Duke with the snowboard was also a great figure. Shame it hasn't seen release. Maybe they can sneak it into the 2nd movie line.

My non Joe buddy would regularly refer to the final desert product as the arctic se. He knew without knowing, idk what that says.
