Ya your right he is different from retail he sets his prices based on what things are sold for on EBAY. If that doesnt make him a scalper then I dont know what does. I know if walmart Target and TRU set their prices based on what they sold on EBAY for I could not collect GI Joe
He is no different then my local comic shop that goes to the retail stores and buys the toys me and my kids would like to buy and then sells them for 3 times as much as he paid for them. |

Thanks Krisk.
You know I've driven about 2 hours to go to Kokomo Toys. I asked Todd if he would sell me a piece from a collection(all loose). He said that he had it listed on Ebay as a lot of items. Then I said I only needed 1 piece and I already had the others. He told me if I checked back in a couple of months and he couldn't sell the lot on ebay then he would sell that single piece to me. To me that's not considered customer service. If I am at the shop and I have cash right there, why not make the sale? Its like Kokomo toys is ebay first then physical customers second. Todd and Amber are nice people, I was just turned off by how I was treated. Heck he didn't even entertain offers on it. |

So he should cancel his auction... take NEW pics... upload the auction again... lessening the content and thus his desired outcome for said auction... for one piece that you wanted... and you chalked that up to you being 'treated' a certain way? And what happens if someone buys that auction lot on ebay while he's standing there selling you that piece? No let me guess, right then and there he should have logged on, ended the auction, sold you the piece (curious how much this piece was for all the trouble)... he didn't want to split up HIS auction on the spot, ending an auction early, selling you ONE piece, just to have to relist it, take new pictures, new description, etc etc... and to you that's poor customer service? I knew there was a reason you brought up the Rock Vipers. I was like "I wonder what Todd did to piss off solid.wii"/

I just think if Todd has a physical store and he also has an Ebay store, he should keep the stuff listed on ebay out of sight away from the physical store. Its confusing to walk into a store and assume everything is for sale when it is not. The piece was a Final fantasy Could strife play arts figure. The auction is below. Huge Lot of 11 Play Arts 8" Inch Final Fantasy Figures | eBay |

He is no different then my local comic shop that goes to the retail stores and buys the toys me and my kids would like to buy and then sells them for 3 times as much as he paid for them. I can't collect GI JOE outside of ebay. Ebay and Ebay stores make it possible for me to get what I want. The stores around me never have anything. And if they get something, it is snatched up and never restocked. You're assuming you know what Todd's costs are via Hasbro. How much he has to pay not only per figure or case... but also shipping to his store. You do realize that just because he carries it... doesn't mean it sells, right? It isn't like he buys a case of wave whatever knowing that he'll make his money back. He could sell every Hazard Viper in a case but if he sold them for retail prices, that wouldn't cover what he doesn't sell. Why do sushi places have different prices when I could just waltz up to the sea with some bait and make my own Spider Rolls? Okay poor analogy but I really want Spider Rolls right now. My point is that there's this thing called retail. And if you've never been a buyer for a store or if you've never worked in a store and asked questions or if you've never read an article or a book on retail... cost and wholesale and cases and shipping and taxes and bottom lines and not just breaking even but trying to actually make some money and supporting your family if you're a family run business and insurance and ebay fees... then how can you just call someone a scalper?

'Tis true. I love spider rolls. I especially love it when the chef makes them look like some sort of creature crawling on your plate.
