The one thing i am surprised that nobody is talking about is his gear, the comm backpack/removable radio is AWESOME. finally some comm gear!

I agree. His gear is great. It took me forever to get nemmy's wings in his backpack. I was ready to throw him against the wall.

How can you classify the black mask as a variant? It's equally packed with the gold version in a case.

I got 1 set of 3 comic packs from BBTS today, and my IG/Destro was indeed the black one. So it would seem to support that.

I've opened two cases myself. Both were evenly packed with the Destro sets. I've also read reports on other sites of others opening cases at Targets and finding the same.

All I see otherwise is a lot of speculation of the rarity of this comic pack artificially inflating the value on the secondary market, and producing a rarity of the pack since eSlavers will pick up more of the black masks. I swear sometimes a collector's community is its own worst enemy.

Also, a variant doesn't necessarily mean an item is rare, it just means it's an alternate version that was made available. It has to be limited or short-packed to be considered a rare variant.

I opened a case today and both were gold heads.

However, I did open 2 cases of wave 9 as well and got me 2 more BATS and Snow Serpents
