Thats pretty cool!!! Congrats on meeting him!!!
The only thing that bothers me about Ripcord, is, as many said, why not Stalker? |

I wouldn't expect him to diss the movie. One, they paid him as a consultant. Two, they're still paying him to write the comic. He's not going to speak out against something he's so deeply involved in.
I really wish they'd have shown some more stuff from the movie to alleviate some of our fears. Congrats on meeting a childhood idol, though. |

The manager at Taco Bell will never admit to you that the food is Crap. Even if the guy was Mexican, and eats homemade Tamales every day of his life. He's not gonna admit it to you he knows the Bellgrande is a load of Bell. Cool story though. Wish I was there. |

So Larry Hama is outright lying to us?
If every positive news story connected with the film will be greeted with such logic, it's utterly worthless ever engaging in debate about it. The "corporate lackey" insult is nebulous enough to be thrown about with such vigour isn't it? after all, if Hama denied he was in Paramount's pocket and insisted he had a genuine good feeling about the film (god forbid!), that would just prove he was a 'plant' even more.

Well, hopefully we'll all agree with Larry in about 12 months, if not, well, what can we do.
However, I'm actually more excited about the comment that they're already working on the 2010 line. Hopefully they'll continue in the 25 tradition, of updating the classics. There are still many major characters missing: Lowlight, Lifeline, Wet-Suit, CoverGirl, Jinx, Dr. Mindbender, Monkeywrench, etc. |

Delta I would agree with your thinking..... but that smurk/chuckle look he gave me, really made me feel...Like he knew exactly what I meant, and with DESTRO reporting that Larry was kinda razzing the Movie guys for goin off track sometimes, also makes me feel that he was telling the truth....
Jasonong --- He sorta does loke an asian Jay Leno.....His eyes look like BUNTA from the Initial D series... He was very nice, and well never forget..... As for the 2010 line... It seems that it will be kinda like ho Classics 2.0 is out now...where the packaging is differnt and not like the Classics of 2 years ago.....but it looks like we will get more of the JOes we know....just dont know who that is yet... The reason it even came up, was I asked if he looked at the Customs we do and get ideas, he stated that they do look, but are way ahead working on the 2010 line.... So I guess we will see.... BTW - The New stuff looks soo Good..... My Wallet will be hurting... Last edited by evopete; 07-26-2008 at 12:50 AM.. |

Well, in the Hasbro panel, it was said Hama ripped into the producers about some things about the movie, so if that was openly admitted, I don't see why Hama would say nothing but the truth about Ripcord being ok in the movie.

Just like when the TF movie Line came out, I get a get a break from giving Hasbro so much money. If they have plans for after the movie crap, I'm all in. I just need to take a year off from collecting Joes.
Cool meeting Hamma BTW.
