I can't play in that sandbox...too expensive. Is it seriously gonna be in the $50 dollar range shipped?

I read on a GI JOE CLUB thread on Facebook that they estimate the figures being around 25 a piece. If that's the case, even if they are awesome figures I'm gonna pass. And bitterly. That's 50 bucks a month for two small little figures. And a total of 300 + shipping.
I had hoped when The Joe Club copied this idea from Mattel they would also copy some of Mattel's business practice on the idea but apparently not. The He Man sub figures are 20 bucks, and they are much larger, more plastic and often new molds. The Joes are smaller, and often made of recycled parts (which I don't mind if price is right). 12 Bucks a figure I could deal with, but 25... maybe more? Are you kidding me? 50 bucks a month is like car insurance or food. I'm not a complainer, I usually never sound off, but if this sub service is handled the way it seems to be, I'm totally disappointed. AND they have the tried and true quality behind the Four Horsemen, so the sculpting on all these figures is above and beyond what you get with pretty much any other brand, except maybe Hot Toys. $25 is too much, I agree.

I would like to sub to this but I feel like most I want to know who and what I'm getting first. I'm not in to stuff that was release in america so if there's a bunch of international figs that would be a waste of money for me my only other grips about this would be no O-ring and no troop builders inless they make extra for people that would like more but limit people subs to only 5 of said

Is the upcoming G.I. Joe Collectors Club Figure Subscription Service on the website or is it the same as being an officer level paid member? Could someone post a link if one is available.

I believe these will be a lot of the cancelled figures Hasbro had plan to make..
we know the first two.. Quarrel and Nano Bat The others i think will be.. TF Roadblock Klaw NF Falcon Arctic Alpine Desert Scorpion Possibly kit bashed Cover girl (basically Sparda repainted) Muskrat Frag Viper Saw Viper (Unless Hasbro rechanges their minds and puts him out in the movie line) Cobra Mortal (since De Aco went over so well, this would be a no brainer) I would like to see updates of some Action Force figures to go with my Con Blades Hunter Jammer Goucho Maybe even: Dolphin Moondancer Stalker Or Red shadows Red shadow Trooper Baron Iron Blood Black Major (use Red Star's head) There won't be a City Strike Scarlet unless they replace the movie likeness head. Which means retooling the mask to fit an existing Scarlet head.. and I hope they won't choose the resolute version.

I'm leaning more on doing this sub then not where just a couple weeks ago it was show me all 13 or no go now its tell me 6 and if I like what I see I'm in beside the ones I don't really like or want I'll ebay them and most likely make my money back

I thought about that, but I worry if anyone would even want them or that they would want to pay or trade fairly. Joe fans can be pretty cheap!

I'm hearing this is a (very) preliminary lineup:
1 Quarrel and Nano B.A.T. 2 NF Falcon and Wreckage 3 Desert Scorpion and Dusty (v.3 with beret, coyote) 4 City Strike Scarlett and Iron Klaw 5 Muskrat and Footloose 6 Snake Eyes ( v.4 with red goggles/grey face) and Cover Girl Bonus 13th: Tiger Force Claymore (with more proportionate body) (Disclaimer: I use "I'm hearing..." as a means of listing my own current list of hopes.) I know. If everyone is selling the same fig .. who are we selling to?? |

I'd like to think a little bigger than this list. I would like some of the original Oktober Guard (maybe Horror Show and Daina), a couple international figures that are unique - more AF than Brazil, and the rest be from ARAH but done quite well. Heck, a really amazing Grunt would be a nice surprise! Or go outside the box with a General Flagg or some memorable characters from Sunbow. The wider the breadth of the line, the more likely it will make more people happy. There is an endless number of creative opportunities to do figures that many, many folks would love to have - particularly carded - if they can get out of the mindset of what is easy or cheap. For $25 a pop, I think we all want more than a simple repaint for 13 figures - unless the repaint is amazing. Hasbro proves all the time what they can "frankenjoe" with some creative part swapping. Why can't the club?
