i don't necessarily think i should be held to a higher or lower standard in any case. I'm not sure what the original intent of that comment is to be honest.
when i studied Film at Cornell, it was great to see how every script writer brought something different to the table. As a someone who sees himself as a genre director, there's always that tight rope one walks of working in the confines of a genre so the right audiences identify with your material while also pushing and evolving said genre so that you remain unique. For a GI Joe fan film, I wanted to stay very close to the source material which more me was the 80s Special Mission series produced by Marvel. What i'm really happy with in this trailer is not how i reveal plot lines or character arcs. it's the costumes, visuals, and tone. In any case, i'm glad to be here and glad you fans are watching! |

It always astounds me how these independent guys can't find work in the movie/tv industry yet there is so much stupid programing available. Just check out SciFi any given day and you will know what I mean.

All I can say is WOW! Great Job for what I am sure was a super limited budget and I wish Mark the best of luck in the future with his solid Directing. Looking forward to the complete film.

I understand that this is a fan film, so I'm not going to nitpick on some of the things that I would normally point out. The action and stunts look good, the gunfire looks believable and the characters look well represented. The only thing that I want to see is good acting. But I couldn't understand much of what Zartan was saying. I hope the rest of the acting is better than that.

I wish i could spend full time on this but my reality is very different- i work fulltime for MTV/Nickelodeon on their websites, i have a 2 young kids, and since i have very limited resources i do everything myself- editing, special effects, foley work, maintain the website, etc. Anyway i appreciate the interest so much and it's a billion times better than spending a year on a project that no one cares about!! so to answer your question, i plan to have it done by october this year as I've submitted the film for the NY Comicon which falls in the first half of that month

@Markymark, This looks fantastic, I have been following your site and the movie for quite some time. I really look forward to seeing it! Please let us all know where and when you will debut this and hope we can see this on a big screen somewhere! I also would love to get a DVD/Blu ray too!
