Whoa! ANOTHER good casting choice by these people! I was most worried about this 'character' which seemed more like a shallow vehicle just to get a 'pretty boy' in there... but it's hard to go wrong with arguably the best performer in "The Pacific"

Know how I know this? Because you posted a declassified flyer which was meant for fun as a NEWS ITEM. No one would ever tell you anything because the VERY FIRST THING you would do is post it here. Probably incorrectly. |

This might be a good casting choice, but why this character. See, it's character choices like this I don't get. Mouse was a lil' known character in Sgt. Savage. Why not a the Sgt. Savage character himself?

Oh, my.
I'm very pleased with this. Very gifted actor...one of the best, and perhaps the most underrated, child actors of his time. It has made me happy to see him re-emerging in more and more films over the last few years after he took a hiatus from filmmaking, and to have him in GIJOE is glorious!

...if anything, maybe a cameo for sgt.savage, but that's about it...but even that's pushing it. |

So, clearly "mouse" is not going to be anything like the Sgt. Savage character - at least, by appearance in the cartoon!

The script called for a particular personality type and look, better they go with someone that isn't going to cause fan-fits than changing an "old favorite" into something unrecognizable to suit the needs of the story. They did that with Ripcord already. People didn't like it. (No offense meant to anyone for whom Mouse from Sgt. Savage is indeed one of their favorite characters, if such a person exists). |

I guess you're right, but the only people who will know the difference are the fans. I understand the GI Joe universe is pretty damn big, but when Chu announced he would give us a true Joe movie, I assumed it would involve more identifiable characters and Mouse isn't one of them.
