so, does that elude to data-viper being packed with some kind of vehicle?
in an online exclusive pack? what does it REALLY mean concerning that character? not at big box retail bc of his size in relation to card? so, is he going to be hard to get online with some kinda data/communications pack theme? and since when has size been an issue for a figure to make it to a brick and mortar retailer? we got those target exclusive packs with the snake armor and the eels with the jet ski- and they were at the store- and they were more than single card could handle... what does this all really mean concerning that figure? i don't see him as such an anomaly that he'd be so difficult to release... |

Just because there are a few thousand fans online who are hyper aware of what is going on with future waves of G.I.Joe does not mean there are a 100 thousand SDCC attendees who are seeing it for the first time.
Trust me there is much more to come that Hasbro just can't show yet. Maybe if the movie gets pushed back we will get lucky.

The SDCC is not the end all, be all with upcoming toys just a bonus. It's more of a Hollywood PR Event now with toy booths over to the side. I would bet with the 30th coming we will see and hear more soon. I'm thinking by New York CC.

Not sure how the movie will be released early summer as it hasn't even begun shooting yet- not even sure it has been completely cast yet! That actually worries me that it may rush the movie. Time will tell.

I just really think they should have shown sOmething of Joe 2. I mean all the big flicks for next summer are showing trailers and Joe doesn't even have a poster or pic anywhere?! Some kind of presence for the movie should have been felt to create a bit of interest and excitement. No new figures is one thing but zero movie update is another.

I guess it's tough to present a bunch of promised product when you're not sure how far ahead you can keep these promises.
Their Transformers presentation seemed somewhat light considering there's a monster of a film out now and they're kicking into gear with TV based toys. I felt almost as let down by the 2 lone Generations toys as I was by the lack of new Joe stuff. At the same time, all of the other brands with much larger product reveals don't have their own cons to reveal stuff at earlier in the season, so I can look at it as a case of being treated early. Speaking of Transformers, I'd love it if they tried to have a balanced retail presence of "core" Joe stuff and movie stuff. These days film lines don't typically last long. |

Please stop talking. The amount of insider information that you have is exactly zero.
Know how I know this? Because you posted a declassified flyer which was meant for fun as a NEWS ITEM. No one would ever tell you anything because the VERY FIRST THING you would do is post it here. Probably incorrectly. |

Great update - thanks.
I am so thankful for the Skystriker - it's awesome. But it basically amounts to the 30th Anniversary altogether. I can live with that - having an updated Skystriker is that great. It just seemed after the Joe con there was a great buzz and getting 30 products and 7 packs fans will love...and has now has just fizzled out. I know they're repackaging some stuff - but thats more of an afterthought. Those waves were announced at POC before they were re-introduced as 3oth Anniversary packaging. If I understand correctly the updated Sci-Fi, Lifeline, Airtight and others won't be released now until 2012. I'm not knocking Hasbro. I'm glad they're excited the new movie - I am too. It just seems when all is said and done that the 30th Anniversary, which quite honestly I've looked forward to since ROC was announced as the main focus, has been looked over in favor of the sequel. Bummer. Last edited by Dod Ear; 07-23-2011 at 11:43 PM.. |

I posted a thread on the costume panel. They apparently showed some Joe costume illustrations. Real fast they said, lots of brown and green. That info was tweeted from arah.
