Me too!! Stoked. I gotta go to Nawlins and see 'em shoot it. I met John Cena in N.O. when they were shooting 12 Rounds. Movie sucked...but I met John Cena and saw a fire truck do a brake turn doin' 80.

Matthew McConaughey, in his REIGN OF FIRE look and body type, would have made him a decent Gung-Ho- but i doubt he'd be fiscally available for what he's commanding as a salary these days, considering money best saved and put onscreen for sets, FX, and vehicles is the best way to do it with a high concept sequel.

I'd like to see Gung Ho as well, and give the entire crew from Swamp People cameos as his family.

Louisiana is also a hotbed for filming these days bc it's an economical advantage to the state to bring in the industry as they still try to recuperate fiscally from the katrina disaster...the more they bring in the better off they are.
Rates are better as well, as union labor is cheaper, much like in Vancouver...and you can do more for half the cost, and it looks great for the state and city. the film bureau wants to put the notion in people's minds that's like: "hey, we're still around! we can do shit here, too, no matter what happened! it's an advantage for both the film and the state and cities. |
