Please Hasbro, stay away from this. Concentrate on the health and longevity of the core line. I'm a Lego collector and I wouldn't spend a dime on this stuff.

Even though I like Transformers and Lego mini figures are all sorts of fun I just can't seem to get into the Transformers Kre-O sets.
Now if it was GI Joe it would be a whole different story because I purchased that Toy Story green army men set and some parts from Lego just to make a small squad of army guys. Just something fun about building blocks with a military theme. I guess the big question for me would be what the mini-figure might look like. The Oxford stuff looks great to me because it would fit right in with any Lego stuff I have and I could use Lego mini figure parts to customize a figure. If Kre-O Joes and Cobra used a different looking body that would kind of cut down on the customizing options. Not totally sure we will ever see GI Joe Kre-O but I've got my fingers crossed because when things were slow in the action figure section of Wal-Mart I could go over to the building block section and still support the GI Joe brand. |

Sounds like more crap to clog the shelves and ruin retailer's opinion of GIJoe.

If Hasbro was smart. Like, Black Llama level smart. They would do away with the big sets and sell the Kreons in blind packages just like Lego is doing with it's mini's. I would collect the SHIT out of those. I think others would as well. As it stands now, to get basically a Star Scream mini I have to pay 29.99. Not gonna happen. If I could go and grab a single package for 2.99 with a chance to get one... 100% gonna happen. Hell I would buy 5 or 6 of those. |

The price point might keep some people away because for that $29.99 you could get a Transformers action figure and still have money left over for a Lego set as even small Lego sets have a few mini figures in them. |

I don't think the line would do well with Lego collectors, most of us are very loyal to the Lego brand for the quality of the ABS plastic used in the bricks, not the type of plastic used in airplane models ie Mega-bloks

The plastic quality is similar to Lego, not Mega-Bloks.

The issues I see with Kre-O as I've mentioned before are the sticker quality in that they sometimes are cut incorrectly, lack of rubber tires on some vehicles, and the overall model design. Also, there were stress marks on the Kreons I got from the Sideswipe set. The advantage I see over Lego are the licensing. If Hasbro sticks to Transformers, GI Joe, etc, and do themes that Lego won't ever touch like modern, WWII, and Vietnam era military I can see how they can pull in interested brick builders. |

All the packages say cobra (in korean) on them except the one in the top right corner, the special forces one.
